Seeing Hakeem Nicks splitting defenders and coming out of a few attempted tackles to take it to the house and do the dirty bird.
Leaving the stadium I then bought my tickets for Green Bay and the rest was history .
highlights. As great as Nicks was, Eli was masterful with how he was navigating the pocket and going through his progressions.
Eli's career longevity and numbers make him a hall of famer, but we can all recognize that his regular season performances were up and down.
However, come playoffs, he is one of the best QBs in league history.
In his 2 SB runs he played as well as anyone, especially given that most of his playoff wins were on the road. That said, he had his clunkers too. Shutout at home v CAR in 2005, lost at home to Philly in 2008.
Hakeem may have been my favorite player of that era, and that's with guys like AB, Jacobs, Cruz, Tuck and Eli on the roster. Really miss watching competitive, meaningful games and a team with guys you pulled for in spades.

Philly loss in 2008 was Plaxico aftermath.
I think Coughlin has to take responsibility for that loss. He was not able to rally the team after Plax and he was completely outcoached by Andy Reid in that game.
Giants were the much better team personnel-wise and lost to a division rival who knew their tendencies. Really bad part is that Andy Reid used the wind much more effectively than Coughlin. Wind went from being home field advantage to disadvantage.

How far we've fallen

And the Giants did not disappoint.
Good times, long ago.

They didn't lose to Philly in '06 because of him nor did they lose to Green Bay in '16 for his play.

I thought he was the only one who showed up in Green Bay ... and Cruz

Pathetic for both franchises. What a terrible decade this has been for NY football.
Back when it was fun to be a Giants fan!

Those were the only bad playoff games by Manning.

me too. Eli was sharp in that GB game.
