Drafting Barkley before the OL was fixed...to try to give Eli another run was wrong strategy....as an improved OL might have extended extended Eli career.

i really do man, I do and I try to advocate that in my posts but I really think blowing it up all over again at this stage isn't going to work.

I also truly believe the top level GM's and HC's are not going to want to come here because of the constant change showing no approach for stability.

Reese drafted more guys who were great players - but he completely whiffed on way more players that didn’t even belong in the NFL. DG’s issue is that he has drafted just basically average to OK players with some good ones mixed in. He has never hit on the elite guys

1(one) HM, 6 OL drafted, 1 year strong OL class and 0 selected, 1 traded for, several FA signings for OL(all failures).
And I am ignoring draft failures because the list is too long.

If Toney becomes something along with Ojulari, I guess DGs drafts got a lot better once Judge came on board.

Once Judge entered the picture, they have drafted players who have legit all pro/pro bowl potential. That was basically non existent previously.

And I'm not a Reese defender at all. But DG's run here has been so pathetic that it's literally indefensable to anyone with a functioning brain.

Dave - that’s incorrect. Gettleman presided over many months when the Giants were comfortably at .500, in the offseason when they were 0-0.

Did he really try? I don't think you can look at what he did with the OL and see, with 20/20 hindsight, any plan. Not drafting any OL in two of his four drafts. One in another. Trading for a OL who had a two year window because of his contract but not having anyone ready to take over for him. Paying Solder and keeping him despite him probably never even having an average game in four years. Paying $5m to Omaneh who didn't last one season.

first and foremost by the transition from Eli to another QB. Setting up the org with an elite franchise QB for the next decade plus would make dumbassery like Jonathan Stewart, Nate Solder, Alec Ogletree, blowing the 2nd pick of the draft less significant.

If Daniel Jones comes back next year and somehow turns into Patrick Mahomes or Justin Herbert, we can look back with fondness at the success of the DG era

Jones isn’t horrible. He can win us some games but he really doesn’t elevate us in most
