This thread is solely for everyone who is disgusted at the embarrassment the NY Giants have become under the leadership of John Mara. John’s latest disgrace is deciding to keep Coach Joe Judge before hiring a new GM.
Mara, this thread is to give all Giants faithful a chance to vent about how horrific a job you are doing.
The Giants are a chaotic failure due to weak leadership. Today's decision to continue to employ Joe Judge will do nothing more than continue this cycle of nothingness.
We are about to try as hard we possibly can.
Of all the things to be pissed off about, you are pissed that DG isn’t getting publicly shamed on his way out? I hope you are never in a managerial position.
Please don't tell us you are upset by losing. You clearly aren't. If I was making tens of millions off the Giants I would probably not be as upset as I am now. But the Giants are an escape for many, and right now that escape is a depressing bore.
It's your franchise and you can run it however you like. But don't be surprised when the next generation of football fan in the New York area are increasingly choosing to root for the Cowboys.
Sincerely,
Winoguy
I may be done with this team if they promote abrams and keep judge.
this team needs a fresh GM and coach with a fresh mindset
Judge: Yup!
Mara: Are you on board with signing Barkley to a 2nd
contract?
Judge: Yup!
Mara: Are you on board with exercising Jones's 5th year option?
Judge: Yup!
Mara: Great, keep up the good work!
Fans have hit their breaking point and Judge has proven to be utterly incompetent.
There will not be another time where we can gut it completely like we can now. Now is the time to finally do what should have been done in the past.
You can blame bad injury luck for a season here or there, but a decade? It’s one thing to believe in The Giants Way if there is one. But, it has to adapt to the current times. Even the great George Young was too slow to adapt to free agency. You’ve been to slow bringing the team into modern offensive football. You must be frustrated paying and overpaying unproductive players and coaches. Think hard about this next GM pick. It’s going to make or break you with a lot of fans. Not current ones, future fans.
Good Luck.
Daniel
I'll keep it simple. IF Judge is back i am not spending a cent on this team nor wasting my time watching games next season watching this shitty product
I'm the president of a medium sized medical practice, and most docs are that way, which is why most of my partners would be terrible as president of the group, which is why I'm stuck doing it. :-(
Second, you are losing fans like myself. I really don't have the heart to relive the 1970s, this time without any hope of a Pete Rozelle intervention. The current state of the Giants can be rightly labeled "hopeless".
You must hire, from the outside, a director of all football operations. All of the Mara family members must resign from positions within football operations. If they want to do marketing, PR, finance, et cetera, then okay. But family in football operations is improper.
You must do this now, the sooner the better.
Face it. The Giants are a laughingstock. You can change that, by stepping back, now.
As was pointed out by another fan, the 17 weeks of losing are a problem, yes. But the real problem is the other 348 days a year of mind-blowing ineptitude.
You are not part of the solution. Step away.
I assume they love the Giants and neither one wants to play golf or go to the track 5 days a week, but why do they put themselves through all the attacks and pressure? They should step away, do owner things, work on league business, impress young women with their seats in the owner's box, whatever.
People were angry then, but we've gotten even worse in the 2 years since.

For the first time in my life I am embarrassed to be a Giants fan. Embarrassed. I don't know if you're ashamed but goddammit you oughta be.
You've destroyed this franchise.
But instead we get players treading water trying to answer questions they have no business answering.

And here’s one directly for John Mara: Now that Dolan and Cohen have their teams on track, you are clearly the worst owner in NY and the worst owner in the NFL.
I’m 65 and have been a diehard fan since 1963. These past few years have been just like the late 60s and 70s with and JJ reminding me of Robustelli and Webster.... and I’m not talking about their playing days.
Seriously John ... this is bad ... JJ and his merry band of minions and college cronies are not going to get it done. Start over, and this time get it right.
I was once a huge NYG fan with an entire room dedicated to them in my house.
Now it’s full of Yankee and Georgia Bulldog stuff with very few Giants stuff mixed in.
6 straight years of lousy football will do that. I used to freak out before kickoff with excitement, now I see it as 3 hours of misery and a find myself laughing at what was once a proud NYG team.
Especially after the 2 Victory formation called on our own 4 yard line. Only a cowardly franchise would call such plays. I then turned off the game mix and watched bits and pieces of the other games never going back to the NYG game.
SIR, YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MEDIUM PEPSI DRINKING MIND.
Loser. Which is obvious. Being disappointed by this club is on the fabs. I don’t watch anymore. This is where I come and see the wreckage. He’s pathetic

You know what the Giants Way is? Cronyism. Cronyism at all cost. Maintaining the status quo even when everything burns around you. Trying to right the ship when it's six feet under. Holding the line when the enemy is already behind it. Fuck the fans. Fuck winning. Fuck the playoffs. Fuck everyone and everything, except the people in our inner circle. We will run this organization like a family business, which means we choose who we want and we couldn't give a flying fuck about the outside noise.
John Mara you could not be more wrong. Once the bond is broken it never fully exists again. You are losing the core fans that made your franchise. The only reason I still care, the only reason I still watch, the reason the Giants are still important to me is because for the 3 hours the games are being played I get to visit with my father and uncles and all the wonderful memories in Yankee Stadium and Giants Stadium. How many 100's of thousands of Giant fans in the NYC metro area are not passing on the bond because of what you've turned this team into?
You are pretty much down to your last chance to fix this. It needs to be done right now. With people outside your family. People out of your circle. With people who are rising stars in other organizations. We're not fools, we know your brother and CEO in waiting nephew are going nowhere.
But everyone Gettleman brought in, everyone part of Tim's clique, every sycophant in personnel and scouting needs to report to the new GM and he needs to decide if he wants to keep them or hire his own people to succeed. No veto's for anyone named or related to a Mara when those decisions are made.
I think you must have lost your mind if you think you're ever going to win a Super Bowl with Joe Judge and Daniel Jones. We will all know if you make it a requirement of a new GM to retain them. The new GM should have a completely clean slate to make those calls. No veto's for anyone named or related to a Mara when those decisions are made.
I know you don't believe you are killing the golden goose, that it will keep laying golden eggs forever. But you're wrong. You have no concept of what real life is for your fan base in 2021. People are on edge, they're stressed to their limit trying to stay safe and feed their families. The Giants should be an escape from all that, entertainment and family legacy, not something to be embarrassed to be associated with.
You live in bubble where everyone you encounter treats you like you are the head of a royal football family. Everyone you deal with everyday tells you what you want to hear. They all want to be your friend or your employee and they know that like your father you don't handle the truth well. You ask for it but don't listen to it and ignore the few people who tell it to you.
Invite Carl Banks, Michael Strahan and Tiki Barber to lunch somewhere very private. Either separately or together. Ask them what needs to be done to fix this. Listen to their input as one source to make things better. They all still have contacts around the league and know what is going on in the 2021 NFL.
You need to start listening to the people who are telling you the truth. Those people are not in your organization or phone contacts. Pete Rozelle isn't walking through that door with George Young. This is your family business. You have been around the NFL your whole life. You don't know a single person not turning 80 that you can turn to privately who won't tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear, that you will listen to?
Also 2022 should be the year that Leonard Marshall gets inducted into the Giants Ring of Honor. It's way overdue. Bring back the 80's players and Bill Parcells for the ceremony. You don't have to go on the field that day. It reflects very poorly on the organization that a player as great as Leonard, a key player on 2 Super Bowl winning teams isn't represented where he belongs. Again it's part of the bond you are breaking. Fix it before it's too late.
As a rule, many members of the third generation lack the single-minded drive of the first generation or the sense of historical responsibility that characterized the second generation. Its members feel that the family fortune has been built and preserved for them and that they are, unquestionably and without restriction, entitled to it. And, though they may not acknowledge it, these inheritors have usually had a comfortable youth and adolescence, so they are not as motivated as their predecessors to work harder than most of their peers for what they want.
Part of the problem is that the newcomers view their predecessors through the prism of these generations’ lifestyles rather than recognizing the sense of purpose, hard work, and even sacrifice that made those lifestyles possible. Not surprisingly, third-generation members often become impatient to assume the privileges, if not always the responsibilities, that they perceive previous generations to have effortlessly enjoyed.
The whole building stinks from top to bottom
