NGT: National Championship Tonight. Who Ya Got? Georgia-Bama

Beezer : 1/10/2022 3:35 pm
Was surprised to see Georgia favored, but I don't see them winning. I'm no college football expert, but I think Alabama gets it.

Who ya got?

The first QB who was recruited as a two-star recruit...

to win a national championship, good for Bennett.

Yup, he had two TDs dropped last night because his best receivers were injured. There was a back shoulder throw he made last night that reminded me of Rodgers that got them a 1st and goal...but they couldn't turn it into a TD

Not me, personally I like Stroud
I thought Georgia's OL was dominant and the difference

They had two of their last 3 TD drives that were basically all running, and they were tearing up the Bama front 7. You could argue the other drive where Georgia passes a lot was set up because the Bama D was trying to sell out on the run.

I would take either, but from what I've seen, Young processes the field and throws on the run a lot better than Stroud. Stroud is probably more durable due to being 6'3", 225. My question is will Stroud get a chance to play a great defense next year? They play ND out of conference and unless OSU gets to the playoff, he won't see an SEC defense

I think they moved their LT into LG and it made a big difference. Run lanes were steadier and the pocket stayed pretty settled. And ALA couldn't handle the interior DL of Georgia.

I'd also say that this was one of the worst ALA secondaries I've seen. They had a bad night, imo.

Not that I watch a ton of college football, but this take surprises me some.

Young looks extremely small to me...and I don't see the physical attributes (arm, size, mobility etc) that go with a top QB in any draft.

Obviously he's really good at this level.
