most of the Giants prospective candidates are assistant GMs or assistants in the front office. As good a coach as Harbaugh is, he could run over a young GM or first-time GM

If Judge is fired, it will likely be the new GM's responsibility to find the next H.C.. Until Judge is fired and a new GM is hired, I doubt the team will be reaching out to any HC candidates.

everybody wants everything to be a smokescreen. John Mara cant even dress himself but, yes, hes orchestrating clandestine combined hc/gm negotiations with great success...

Can't even keep their first round targets a secret but they are hiring Harbaugh behind the scenes?

- They'll never pay him what he wants or give him the power he'll ask for.
- They won't be aggressive enough. They should- its a no brainer he would turn things around here.
- They don't even have the balls to fire a coach who just put out one of the worst performances in recent NFL history because they ware worried about the " coaching turnstile".

I hope I'm wrong but its not happening. He's coming back to the NFL at some point though.

It's coming from his NFL track record. He had a short stint with the 49ers and turned them around from a joke to one of the best teams in the league very quickly.

Hed have to be a partner with a GM, not a subordinate. I'd be fine with that though. I find him to be really annoying, but he's a very good coach and the type of personality that would help the Giants a lot.

I acknowledge your point and I agree that he did a respectable job with the 49ers. I still, however, think he is a bit overrated. He is good, not great. The ultimate measure is championships. He has not won a Super Bowl and, ultimately, underachieved at Michigan, despite a good 2021 season.

FFS, you are what your record say you are. Look at his record as a HC, killed it a Stanford, he brought back Michigan, that program was a awful when he got there. His record in the NFL is excellent too.
