People just say things because they know it'll get an angry reaction. It's a weird psychological thing.
It's not necessarily what Jones has done, it's what does Jones not being the QB of the future mean? The Giants near term future doesn't look as good if Jones isn't a keystone piece, so some posters have convinced themselves he is to hold on to some hope of the arrow is pointing up
