Would love to see Brian Flores get an interview for our next HC if Judge gets fired. Unfortunately, by the time the GIants make a decision on who to hire as GM and make the decision on Judge, Its pretty likely that Flores will already be off the market as the Bears already are set to interview him and I hear other teams who need a coach are anxious to speak with him as well. Ian O'Connor was just on the Michael Kay show and said the Giants job would be at the top of his wish list but he's likely to be scooped up before they get a chance at him
Agree 100%. Let's get a GM then argue about who the HC is, should we trade down, what position do we pick, etc. This team needs structure and vision first.
There was a time where I was open to something like this, and maybe still would but it would have to be for a very specific candidate, one we aren't likely to attract (Belichick, even Harbaugh, etc). Doing it for a Flores likely winds up in a Bill O'Brien in Houston scenario.
While true I don't think its that repeatable. Looking at all the top teams in the league I think the talent really stands out and the HC's are more of a crapshoot. You've got Belichick straight down to Mike McCarthy and IMO there's a massive difference in their coaching abilities, a much larger gap than the talent between the two teams.
A HC can pick players. ???

Agree. How much of Belichick's success has been from having the GOAT as his QB? And Dallas has two of the top defensive players in the league in Parsons and Diggs.
Well said. Totally agree
He won 19 games the past two seasons combined. The Dolphins haven’t won 19 games over a two year span in almost two decades. And Flores did that with a noodle armed collection of backup QBs masquerading as starters.
