I believe the next GM will be somewhat sensitive about the QB position. Presuming Jones can still play, at best Jones will be relegated to compete, probably ending up a backup, or traded.
So the next question will be, will the Giants draft a QB in 2022? I suspect it will be in the 2nd or 3rd round.
Only concern is size.
If they don't like a QB at the top of the draft, I am fine as long as we are not coming into camp with Jones and an assortment of Glennons/Fromms who are simply taking up roster spots.
Competition is always good in football
Only concern is size.
Kenny Pickett is 6'3" 220 pounds. Eli Manning is 6"4" and his playing weight was 218 pounds. I don't think his size should be a major concern.

He did have Eli his rookie year

Maybe not the size of his body, but rather his hand size. As I understand it he has VERY small hands and its anticipated that he could have issues throwing the larger NFL football.
Failing him?
Did you watch his college tape? Who is failing who?
So don't waste yet another draft pick on a QB or do something mega-stupid like ship multiple picks to Seattle for Wilson who will be heading over the hill, if not completely over it, by the time the GIANTS are seriously ready to compete for a championship
So it makes sense to keep Jones, fix the OL and get some other real assets (WRs, TEs, etc.) around the QB, and let him compete this coming season. The time to make a final decision on him still isn't here yet. That is unless his neck injury is a career ender, and that determination hasn't been made yet either.
Fix the OL and see what Jones gives you. A new coach and GM give him the year. If he shows he can lead the team to wins you go from there. If he does not you move on in 23 with a foundation set for a new QB
I would not mind bringing in an Andy Dalton type for next year
Pickett was not good for 3 years prior - 35 games -38 TDs and 24 Int. This year also got to play Umass, New Hampshire, Central Michigan & GT
I don’t see that he screams must get QB. If the QB is not must get type I would not get
We have Russ Wilsons beating out Mike Glennons at NC state and both respectively being drafted in the 3rd round each. We have Eli Mannings who 1/2 of BBI does not think was actually a good QB being drafted #1 overall. We have Baker Mayfields drafted #1 who look like total bush leaguers...but yeah go pinch your pennies in a one billion dolar entertainment business or whatever it is)
3) Offensive philosophy
If Corral's size is a concern then we're not interested in Bryce Young (smaller, weaker arm), right?
