Did the Giants job become more slightly enticing?

shadow_spinner0 : 1/11/2022 6:51 pm
For weeks, maybe months many here have stated how "what good GM would want to work here" many have attributed that take to the roster (which makes no sense since the GM would want to make it better), cap situation (reasonable take) and mainly the last few weeks many here assumed no one would take the job if they were forced to have Judge be the coach. Now that Judge is gone, it seems the GM has more reign to bring his/her own guys. How much appealing you think a future GM may view the Giants now?

Or did fans make a bigger deal of it than there was?
I don't think it was an accident

I think it was made pretty clear from at least a few of the GM candidates that they didn't want JJ

You can't, even without knowing him the way he was dragged by pretty much everyone the last few weeks. You don't want to attach yourself to that stink

Yes. Two top ten picks + premier franchise + get to choose own coach + ownership that will practically do anything to retain you as long as you aren't a windbag & embarrass them + look like Lombardi to BBI after this past decade of pathetic football.
The top guys are going to demand

The right to decide who works for them. So answer is rather obvious I’d say.
Obviously something happened between yesterday and today.....

We know they have been talking with several candidates for weeks.....but something happened....

Maybe a GM/Coaches combination might be in the works
Nope

A lot more promising jobs with other teams.

Giants are lightyears away from turning this shit around.

But if you’re the guy that does it, you own the organization and the fans.
Never pay for a dinner again.

In the biggest market in sports. It’s also the toughest job in football as of right now, the Giants are in worst shape than the Jags Lions and dare I say Texans

Exactly. If you're the person who brings the Giants back to a Super Bowl after a decade in the wilderness you're going to be more heralded here than somewhere else
The job has 2 things going against it:
BigBlueNH : 1/11/2022 10:25 pm : link
a really bad roster and a bad cap situation. Others have identified the plusses. It really depends on how much a particular candidate is scared off by these 2 negatives.
