In absolutes. How the hell do we know what Harbaugh will want? A chance to bring the GMEN back to prominence might be more than enough. Peters/Harbaugh combo would be huge!
his brother would have a good shot at Harbaugh wanting him.
And Peters and Harbaugh I'd venture have some kind of relationship.
Harbaugh would want say over personnel but I'm not sure that's a bad thing as long as someone was confident they could handle him / work with him. Harbaugh is a very smart guy and a winner.
I don't see anyone else in the coaching pool that I can say that with any degree of confidence about. He's the kind of guy IMO that you don't frequently get the opportunity to bring in.
any of these GM candidates seem solid - hire the one whose plan centers around bringing in a head coach with a track record. Because that is literally the most important thing for any franchise. Even more than the QB. Flores, Harbough, Pederson, someone else unexpected - just bring in a coach who knows how to win.
if there's 1 thing we should learn from Judge it's got to be that there's a big difference between talking the talk and walking the walk.
IDK anything about these GM hopefuls. I don't know how much of a say they had in any of the decisions made by their respective teams.
I agree with that which is why my preference tends to be towards the most senior / tenured people in what I'd view as the most modernized orgs.
Joe Schoen makes me very nervous. Because I believe the Bills to be a good mix of old school and new. Beane is a DG disciple. But I believe you throw in a guy with a balanced approach to our stone age environment and systems you have him lean too far into the old school ways.
Guys like Horitz and Peters I have a much higher degree of confidence are full bore into the new school ways. Which is what we need to have any hope of real reform IMO. And that's why I like Harbaugh too, I think he will help advance whatever the agenda is of the GM that is trying to innovate. He has the panache to help move the organization forward. The other coaches I can't say that about.
Not saying I support him but those Harbaugh circa 2011 SF teams were almost 1980s Giant-like with how dominant the D was and how complimentary enough the O was.
I don't even care about the GM but this is who I want as coach. Players respect a former player differently, only 41 and several years working Arians. Sign me up

if we're picking a first time HC, this is the guy I want. i just have a feeling that his personality and style will transition nicely.

Can we spell the guy's name right, please? HORTIZ.
so lets not forget how well he played for Harbaugh back in the day. I am leaning towards the crew from Buffalo though
So what is the case for Daboll other than coaching up Josh Allen?
Nothing about their offense other than Josh Allen being fantastic really impresses me that much. Scheme, play calls, etc. They have talent on their offense. But when I watch them I’m much more impressed with Allen than anything in particular they are doing on offense, and should have been able to put up a lot more points than they did this season. I want my QB coach to develop a QB. I want my HC/OC to keep the defense off balance with their play calls. I don’t really see that with Daboll
They may have some personal connection from BC but that is not a big deal. I like the idea of them coming from different sides of the team and if they work well together than can balance and complement each other.

Yeah, it's really hard to know what anyone is actually doing when it comes to these GM candidates. But anything is better than what we have, and the organizations they're coming from is impressive.

Ah you are correct I guess we have it wrong on stickied interview thread too lol.
I guess I liked him better with a nice Jewish name lol
I would be super happy with this too, I guess I was talking about dream based on who we are interviewing.
If we are living in a fantasy world I'll take Bill Belichick and Chris Ballard lol

Kellen Moore's offense is too vanilla. I would be wildly disappointed if he is seriously considered.
