Let's have some pointless fun and see who we like out there. I'm very curious to see what several of you think. We realistically know bupkus but who cares?
GM 1-Joe Horitz- Ozzie Newsome left the Ravens a perennial playoff contender, anyone from that tree is the most desirable to me. He had the foresight about Lamar Jackson that few teams were bold enough to try.
1a-Monti Ossenfort- I see a Titans team lose 88 players to IR and the heart of their offense for much of the season and they are still the number one seed. Vrabel is a great coach but personnel folks did an amazing job of keeping that roster afloat.
HC 1-Brian Flores - I know not another BB guy but Flores is a no nonsense coach who made do with some shoddy OL play and an oft injured QB with almost no decent RB talent and one go to WR. I like his demeanor and his press conferences should be 1/100th as long as Judge.
1a-Brian Daboll- This is a tough one, but Daboll built an offense around what Josh Allen's warts were and has done more on offense with much less. Stefan Diggs is a stud, but everyone else is journeyman like, save maybe Dawson Knox who finds openings like few modern TEs still can.
Who ya got and why?
HC 1 - Flores. 1A - Daboll.
GM
1. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, Browns
1a. Nick Caserio, New England Patriots
HC
1. Kellen Moore, Dallas
1a. Josh McDaniel, Patriots.
HC: 1 Harbaugh 1A Flores
I don't know enough about the current coordinators to weigh in with any value added, but I am jealous when I see other teams' offenses having very innovative and exciting offenses. I want to see that on the Giants.
Of course I wouldn't pass up a kick ass defense too!
HC: 1 Harbaugh 1A Flores
not sure who my 1 vs. 1a would be but I like both of these combinations a lot.
HC: Flores and Daboll are 1 and 1A
Schoen just seems like he’s the next really good GM in waiting - everything we’ve heard is that he’s the guy you want if you’re rebuilding your entire organization from a scouting and personnel perspective.
Flores is probably not realistic because he really hasn’t been linked to Schoen, but he seems like a great leader to me and he had some good seasons with Miami when they really don’t even have that good of a roster. He seems like a true motivator, and has to be a good game planner considering what he was able to do in Miami.
Daboll: honestly don’t know much about him another than offense, offense, offense. Whoever the QB is - it would seem like he’d be able to run a great system for
GM
1. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, Browns
1a. Nick Caserio, New England Patriots
Caserio is the GM of the Texans
HC
1. Kellen Moore, Dallas
1a. Josh McDaniel, Patriots.

#2 Peters/Whoever he wants
1. Adam Peters - by a wide margin
2. Joe Schoen
HC:
1. Kevin O'Connell
2. Nathaniel Hackett
(1) Schoen
(1a) Adam Peters
Head Coach
(1) Flores
(1a) Leftwich (although I would not be disappointed with someone like Joe Lombardi or Doug Pederson)
Shoen & Pederson
HC: 1 Harbaugh 1A Flores
I forgot the "why"
Regarding my 1s. For me I like Hortiz because of the Ravens background and because I'm making a leap that if he comes from John Harbaugh, he might logically be the best chance at a guy who might push for Jim Harbaugh. I want Jim Harbaugh because I think this franchise needs instant credibility and a reason to be excited. Harbaugh provides both.
Regarding my 1As. Schoen mainly because of all these names we kind of heard his first and I started looking into his bio/resume and it is very impressive. Combine that with the team Buffalo has fielded and I like it. Flores because I think he's on the cusp of becoming the next big HC to join the ranks of guys like Tomlin or John Harbaugh. I want experience without being too much a of a retread. I think Flores fits that mold perfectly as he was only getting started in Miami.
As a Red Sox fan (I know, I know, leave me alone) I was so excited with the Chaim Bloom hire. Coming from a perennial playoff team in TB and they are so good at utilizing young talent and maninpulating their tiny budgets. I thought that coming from a consistent winner with a newer approach would be the way to go, and so far it's gone almost exactly as I had hoped. So with that in mind, my #1 has to be Horitz. Baltimore is a contender every year, and runs a modern offense with a fast, aggressive defense. Sign me up for that! Im a little more unsure with Schoen. Buffalo is good, but the sample size is smaller. Take no chances, get the guy from the 20year program!
Peters
McDaniel
1b Ossenfort
1a Flores
1b Pederson
At the end of the day I still the HC is the far more important piece of the puzzle.
2. Schoen / Daboll
I don't feel strongly about the coaches because I don't know enough about other candidates. Flores did a great job this year and his firing seems to have reasons other than results.
It really is 1 and 1A with the GMs. You can make a case for a lot of these guys.
1-Ryan Cowden
1a-Joe Schoen
HC
1-Jim Harbaugh
1a-Dennis Allen
For HC I really am starting to think Dan Quinn is a perfect fit for the NY Giants. He can get the most out of what we have on defense right now & will have our secondary laying the wood. We all know about his coaching experience. My biggest concern with him is who would be his OC?
1: Peters
1a: Hortiz
HC
1: Josh McDaniels
1a: Harbaugh
HC: 1 Harbaugh 1A Flores
Same
Although Peters really intrigues me.
1 - Joe Schoen
1a - Ryan Poles
Coaches:
1 - Mike McDaniel
1a - Dan Quinn
These are my preference also.
1a) Ossenfort & Roman
(Or maybe Mike McDaniel only because he seems like the lovechild of David Cross and Pete Davidson)
Shoen & Pederson
Pederson won a Superbowl out of the NFC east with Nick Foles against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. I like the Bill's roster a lot. They also got a recent QB right.
Hard no to Flores. There is a reason he was fired in Miami.
Daboll would make a fine offensive coach IMO.
GM 1: Schoen
1a: Hortiz
HC. 1: Flores
1a: Daboll
Agreed… I’m done with BB’s offspring haha. Plus, he just comes off as unlike-able to me… and I want to someone from the Shanahan tree if at all possible. I love the way the run their offense. A modern day version of the bad ass NYG teams, in my opinion. Good strong D, and smash you in the mouth offense. Yes please
As for the coach, I lean Flores, but I'll defer that to the GM. Daboll intrigues me.
1 - Hortiz
1a - Peters
HC:
1 - Harbaugh
1a - Dan Quinn
1 - Joe Schoen
1a - Joe Hortiz
Head Coach:
1 - Brian Daboll
1a - Don Martindale
1a - Peters/Josh McDaniels - This is your upside play. Peters appears to have the golden touch and comes from a smart organization. McDaniels has some red flags but he’s has some HC experience and has he consistent success with his offenses despite all sorts of different personnel and strengths. They would likely be a combo hire unlike the first choice.
You can probably put the Bills guys 1c.
1 Harbaugh
1A McDaniel
What new, first time GM is hiring Flores?
Quote:
GM: 1 Hortiz 1A Schoen
HC: 1 Harbaugh 1A Flores
Same
Same again.
I would be too, sounds like Harbaugh is staying at Michigan though.
