There are no Bill Belichick assistants left as NFL head coaches.

Joe Judge
Brian Flores
Al Groh
Nick Saban (clearly the best but for college football)
Romeo Crennel
Eric Mangini
Josh McDaniels
Bill O’Brien
Matt Patricia
Jim Schwartz
Charlie Weis
Guess working for one of the greatest coaches ever doesn't translate into shit when it comes to hiring his underlings.
i don't get the knock on his coaching tree which is just an extension of the Parcells tree.
everyone was on Reid's tree a few years back and look at some of those guys now... Frank Reich blew two win and in games. Pederson won a SB and then got fired. Nagy is... Nagy.
Vrabel never coached under Bill
I think you are half way there.
The point is coming from BB org should vary little weight
In fact, how involved he is in every aspect, it should be seen as a negative. I’d put more stock in a guy like Graham who has had success with questionable leadership
The tree itself is poisoned.
Who was more responsible for the Pats success again?

It’s a little too soon to make that call
But they are both all time greats. Unlikely there is ever a combo with the success they had ever again.
Sean Payton considers himself part of the Parcells tree.
Vrabel was on O’Brien’s staff. I guess in a way that is part of the BB tree
it's kind of like the Gretzky family has the most points for one family in NHL history with Wayne doing all the heavy lifting and Brent sharing his name.
Probably be a year or two before he gets a position-coach job again, unless the Pats take him back. Fortunately for him, he'll be collecting Giants checks for a couple of years while he waits for the league to forget.
And they will. McAdoo got a job again eventually.
Because it's all Belichick. Everything. From game plan to what's served for lunch in the cafeteria.
Everybody else is along fro the ride.
meant to type "is not due to them, but to BB."
Another shot? He had his second shot, agreed to a deal with the Colts and then backed out of it to run back to Belichick.
