It is the hottest new online word game. You can only play once per day. Only takes a few minutes. No ads, no money making schemes. I started playing last week. I won everyday so far. I am 7 for 7. It is addicting. Try it with your coffee in the morning... it's fun.
I have attached a link to a video explaing the game. or just google WORDLE.

Is there an app or a website where you can play it multiple times instead of just once daily?

I don't think so... and that is by design... only one word per day.
Start my mornings with that and the spelling bee every day.
I'll play again and see if that was luck or skill.

Here is one I like. Today it only took me 2 guesses, my best one ever since starting earlier this week.

Paste in your browser and just keep playing....and go for 6, 7 8 word puzzles! LOL
The strategy I start with is to come up with a word that uses the most common letters: R,S,T, N ,L, E (think Wheel of Fortune). For example: Lends or Rents. Then go from there.

I like using words like RAISE, RATIO, etc. where I can maximize number of vowels and get a few major consonants out of the way. I guess it is possible, but I don't think they would normally go for a word like STERN where a lot of people would have in one or two tries. If you can figure out which vowels and major consonants are not in it that really cuts the dictionary down.

I have a very similar strategy. I am 6-6, 4 of which I got in 3 tries. RENTS is a good start word. I've settled on LASER and then the next word I have lots of options with N, T, and another vowel to play with, along with the info from the first word. At that point I have all the most common consonants and 3 vowels entered, and often on the next try the word is apparent.

more vowels, e.g. tread, rears

Mike -- thanks for posting this one -- it's like the bonus round for Wordle -- my wife spent hours with it yesterday while I watched Fooseball

Glad I could help your marriage! Of the online versions I found that this one had the best combination of dictionary/realistic word usage. There were others that had more esoteric words or spellings not common in American English.
