I'm not sure if what I posted is 100% right but it's what I've cobbled together from the Pat McAfee show and canadian bills fans on social. Basically its a pain in the ass, expensive and comes with a lot of risk to sit in sub freezing temps.

the Bills. They're an AFC team and pose no threat to us, their TV market (like Green Bay) is miniscule, their fan base is rabid and starved for a playoff victory, and Josh Allen is awesome. They're always the team I root for in the AFC. I really hope they win.
So saw the Bills lose those four Super Bowls up close and the local fan base was absolutely devastated as you would imagine (of course the first time to our beloved Giants). It wasn't pretty to say the least. I think they go deep in the playoffs this year. I have no dog in the fight this year, except for teams I would like to see lose early (Dallas and Philly). I'm rooting to watch fun, quality football.
I get toughen it out, but man...if I was a Bill fan, I'd sure as hell would prefer to watch it @ home or a bar instead of those conditions. But to each their own.
I am rooting for the Pats. I'd like to see BB start making deep playoff runs without Brady.
But Jones bothers me. His arm strength looks very average. He's pushing the ball. It almost looks like he's changed his stroke since he left Bama. If I am Buffalo, I hope I can be more impactful in stopping the run and put the game in Jones's hands.

Daboll may need to be more judicious running the qb. The object is to win 4 games. Not 1. That’s one of my concerns with daboll tho. Buffalo doesn’t run the ball well. Or maybe often

JFC guys, does every comment have to be referencing how bad the Giants are by comparison? The seasons over just concentrate on this game We know. We suck. We got it.
he may be great but where are we getting Josh Allen quality at QB? You can have the best OL in football and not have a QB who can do the things Allen does. See many on twitter saying Giants should bite the bullet and draft Matt Corral to run this offense.
his team came out completely unprepared. I don't think they've played a worst half of football since he's been there.
I saw SB 51, don't under estimate BB adjustments. They won't win because of talent deficiency (Brady) but I wouldn't
t be surprise if they give Bills a scare at least.
A third round pick , what 74th overall... not from a big name school either. Yet we just had to draft Barkley as high as we did.... the knife continues to twist

This is the question, for sure. It's a lot easier to race whwn you have a Ferrari.
Honestly, I give BB props for getting this Pats team to playoffs

That's fair. It helps to have a transcendent player at QB.
Bill Belichick knowing his roster is a year away and then deceptively crafting a game plan that results in a significant loss to motivate his squad for next year when they are better equipped to compete is pure genius.
is getting complimentary pieces important? Yes, but what is proven every year, you need a QB to win in the NFL. We can't wait for everything else to be prefect so a QB can thrive or wait years to prefect everything to finally grab a QB to thrive in. You need a great QB to put you over the top, some fans don't want to hear it but it's the truth. A QB is the most important position in football. We need a great one to win a SB, in todays NFL.

Corral is not Josh Allen. He is not built like that and if he plays that way he will run himself out of the league with injuries. That being said, there are tools there IF a coordinator can get him to play within his limits.

Proving, once again, RBs are everywhere and drafting one in the lottery is a daft as it gets.
29 years ago in the wild card round right here in orchard park. Idk Let’s see if a little delayed karma is in store here 🤷🏼♂️ Haha Link - ( New Window )
See Nick Foles, Joe Flacco, Trent Dilfer, the ghost of Peyton Manning. But it sure helps. IMO, there are maybe 5-6 great QBs in the league right now. I don't think they are the only teams with a shot over the next few years.
Of this early whistle in the Bengals game. When you watch it the whistle is blown literally milliseconds before Boyd caught the ball. Th DB “let up” because he was flat out beat and Burrow/Boyd made a hell of a play. If they’d forced a replay of down and Bengals ended up not scoring and losing the game it would’ve been way more controversial in my opinion. The whistle was a mistake but seriously it did not affect the outcome of the play the more you watch the replay.

You don’t need it, but then you need an elite running game and defense to win. That being said, most of the qbs who win are in Canton, not Trent Dilfer. Of course the most recent Giants world championship was earned the on the back of a top 2 or 3 qb that year, with an awful running game and defense.

Agreed. I think the DBs thought Burrow was out of bounds so they let up. It wasn't the whistle.
They are offering little resistance. Even when Bills are only running. Don't know what to make of it. They didn't suck this bad, and were actually carrying the team, during the regular season. Inexplicable.

Super Bowl 52 is #1
No idea what the fuck they were doing that night. They didn't even sniff Nick Foles.
I really don't think people appreciate just how special Josh Allen is from an athletic standpoint.
Daniel Jones can run fast in a straight line if you give him 10 yards to accelerate, but he doesn't make people miss and he's not throwing on the run. Would Jones do well in Daboll's offense? Or bit the bullet and draft Pickett or Corral?

Either might be it, but they better be damn sure they Pickett or Corral isn’t Allen or Herbert, because they can’t afford to miss on another talented qb.

What makes you think we don't appreciate it. That's all we've been gushing about.
Maybe *you* didn't appreciate it, until tonight.
None of us thinks Daniel Jones is an NFL quarterback, much less, the guy who will step in for Josh Allen and be good.

Why can't they afford to miss? We're already in the shitter. Just pick another guy the next year. They must get an elite QB by any means necessary.

Only if we insist on giving a young QB three years when he hasn't earned it.
The Giants knew Herbert is great. We should have taken him. Then our QB situation would have been solved.
It might be time for Bill to step aside and McDaniels to take over, especially if Josh is going to get interest again in this cycle. If that’s the case, I wonder if we would be interested in Bill…

He doesn’t have 1 elite player on offense and arguably on defense either. Granted he’s the GM so that’s on him too but I don’t think this is a coaching issue. This pats team is one of the least talented teams in the playoffs. I’m guessing they are under .500 without Belichick.

It’s not a coaching issue at all, but I’m not sure they want to let McDaniels get away, and he’s not gonna wait around forever. Feel like one of the two will leave and it’s not impossible to think the Pats would choose the younger guy who they basically promised the throne to a few years ago…
No lets not diminish everything BB has accomplished, even if it's well known Brady was a bigger reason they won those SB's.
And no, lets not diminish the good season Jones had, even if we all know any of the top QB's would have had success with this team and had the same performance he had tonight.

After this game you think Bill would sign up to coach a cash strapped, talent bereft roster with a meddling owner?

If he thinks he can reclaim the o-line, find guys on defense, and acquire a top QB? Plus Mara isn’t stupid enough to meddle if BB is running the ship
The prison rape the Bills are giving the Pats in this game
"Ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. You've all got a lot of growing up to do that's for sure. All of good mind to go to the warden about this. You know what hurts the most... well the second most after the other thing?... the lack of respect..."
This has to be incredible experience for Bills fans
Evidence that Gettleman was totally unfit to be GM is the fact that he passed on Allen and drafted Barkley. Allen would be wearing Giants blue if Gettleman knew his ass from a hole in the ground. The claim that Allen had accuracy issues and therefore should not be drafted high was ludicrous.

Hindsight warrior...he was inaccurate. The bigger problem was with the teams that really needed a QB and went elsewhere.
McDermott. They met at the middle of the field, touched hands, BB basically nodded and walked on past. At least that's what I saw. It was so quick it was easily missed.

Gettleman passed on Allen, but his former Assistant GM in Carolina, Brandon Beane, who was hired as the Bills GM in 2017, wasted no time drafting Allen in that 2018 draft.
Fortunately for Buffalo, they lucked out and got the real General Manager talent out of Carolina.
Josh Allen was clearly the player that was touched by the hand of God

Gettleman missed on evaluating Eli, then proceeded to miss on evaluating Allen only to miss once again on evaluating Jones.
And this was all in about 15 months...impressive

Pretty much what happens when the franchise and it’s lap dog GM are stuck competing with Mike Ditka and the 1985 bears.
Remember all the chuckleheads that wanted to debate Jones
truely evaluated any of the quarterbacks in the 2018 class. He was convinced based on one game against Philadelphia that Eli could still function (and many on this Board agreed) when in the other 15 games Eli was awful. So he focused on the running back who was going to complete our offense. Then he refused to sign our only halfway decent offensive lineman Justin Pugh who'll be starting tomorrow for Arizona. And a clusterfuck of epic proportions was launched.
RE: RE: Remember all the chuckleheads that wanted to debate Jones

Great logic...
Are you saying qbs can’t progress from year two to year three? Allen was a great example of that. That’s not an outlandish take at all. Get over it already.

Not many teams would have been able to beat the Bills tonight.
Agree.. That offensive game plan was amazing. Almost as if they knew everything the Pats were going to do. Must be nice to have amazing coaches to game plan like that.. smh..

It was said of both Allen and Lamarr Jackson that they had accuracy issues, but Allen was also described pre-draft as "the most NFL-ready."
Gettleman blew it. Big time. Hindsight or not, we had the #2 pick and took a running back.
after the Eli benching. Cut him or he was going to be the starting QB in 2018. He got shell-shocked with the blowback the first time and he chose the later imv.
People mention he heard what he wanted from Dave but the meeting with EA was "what should I do here?" imv. They went the direction they did but unless a PM/TB was in the draft they were not going that way.
Allen was not the most accurate. He also had a plate in his shoulder. So he was not the sure thing but word was Shurmer liked him. I liked him. I usually like size and arm talent but you could see he was a little all over with the ball.
Credit to him and those who worked with him. He really has grown. Really nice team they have. Still have to win three more to cash in. Not a easy task but certainly a team you can get behind.
That was a just a pure beat down by the Bills in all facets
of the game. Don't often watch Buffalo play but for one or two times a year, but very impressed with their roster talent. Some players that you have heard of but far from household names that were not only contributing, but sticking it to the Patriots on both sides of the ball.
Put me in the camp of hiring Joe Schoen without question.
in BUF was in a driving wind storm and the Patriots passed the ball three times all game.
The Bills knew the Patriots planned to run the ball but could not stop them. The Patriots rushed for over 200 yards (and had just 19 yards passing).
I expect more of the same today and a Patriots W.
Happy to be wrong on this....lol I use some reverse psychology on the Patriots in case people were not aware (though I did not expect anything this lopsided). Living up here in MA and not being a Pats fan can be brutal, especially when the Giants SB wins over the Pats are faded memories.

No one compared to Jones to Allen...are you joking? There were numerous threads/conversations as Jones defenders were grasping at anything they could to support their cause. Yes, plenty of conversation about Year 2 to 3 but a ton of conversations just comparing stats.
Tackling in sub zero weather will be a big issue.
+1

I'd give the game planning edge to Belichik, but I think the 3 pass game earlier this year has the Bills much more aware.
I think this will come down to Mac not making a mistake, and Allen doing something great.
I'd go Bill 17-10 unless the wind kicks up!!!

I stream off Reddit NFL Streams. Comes in good.
No pass rush. Allen is taking target practice.
I want 2, throw in a LG-C-RG-RT and i’ll stop complaining as much
Gee, do you think?
Allen is a better runner than Barkley, too.
Likely not, doesn’t have the arm and the offense is built to pay with a lead.

Just an example of some useless stats for a story.
The decision to go there may be debatable

He's young, but he has limited tools.
They are built to beat ANYBODY.

This is the question, for sure. It's a lot easier to race whwn you have a Ferrari.
That's fair. It helps to have a transcendent player at QB.

Over half of BBI does not understand or accept that.

That guy is a fraud! Always knew he sucked. Lol.
You don’t need it, but then you need an elite running game and defense to win. That being said, most of the qbs who win are in Canton, not Trent Dilfer. Of course the most recent Giants world championship was earned the on the back of a top 2 or 3 qb that year, with an awful running game and defense.
He reminds me of the old South Park episode where Cartman got glasses and everybody was making fun of him lol
Agreed. I think the DBs thought Burrow was out of bounds so they let up. It wasn't the whistle.
Huh?
Super Bowl 52 is #1
No idea what the fuck they were doing that night. They didn't even sniff Nick Foles.
Guess he now knows how it feels.
When they find their Josh Allen, agree.
Daniel Jones can run fast in a straight line if you give him 10 yards to accelerate, but he doesn't make people miss and he's not throwing on the run. Would Jones do well in Daboll's offense? Or bit the bullet and draft Pickett or Corral?
they've got a lot of years worth of payback stored up so I'm sure they're going to keep on the gas

It's unique. Daboll really deserves credit for working on Allen's mechanics and understanding the game. Along with Jordan Palmer and Ken Dorsey.
Allen's skills are so good he can run ANY offense.

I really don't think people appreciate just how special Josh Allen is from an athletic standpoint.

Why can't they afford to miss? We're already in the shitter. Just pick another guy the next year. They must get an elite QB by any means necessary.

At this point, if they miss again are we looking at a browns/lions/Jets type dry spell? I don’t know at this point?

Only if we insist on giving a young QB three years when he hasn't earned it.
The Giants knew Herbert is great. We should have taken him. Then our QB situation would have been solved.

Missed that pint, my bad, but yes that as well. At this point BB is gonna head for the nearest exit.

He doesn’t have 1 elite player on offense and arguably on defense either. Granted he’s the GM so that’s on him too but I don’t think this is a coaching issue. This pats team is one of the least talented teams in the playoffs. I’m guessing they are under .500 without Belichick.
Salt on the wound.

It might be time for Bill to step aside and McDaniels to take over, especially if Josh is going to get interest again in this cycle. If that’s the case, I wonder if we would be interested in Bill…

It’s not a coaching issue at all, but I’m not sure they want to let McDaniels get away, and he’s not gonna wait around forever. Feel like one of the two will leave and it’s not impossible to think the Pats would choose the younger guy who they basically promised the throne to a few years ago…
Salt on the wound.
At least he plays for Buffalo, and not Dallas, WFT, or Philly.
Jones: Speed - 85. Agility - 40
Allen: Speed - 82. Agility - 75
Jones is fast when he runs in a strait line. What he isn't is elusive and can scrambler.

Jones runs like an idiot. Dives head first or stumbles like a goof (vs Eagles) or fumbles.
And no, lets not diminish the good season Jones had, even if we all know any of the top QB's would have had success with this team and had the same performance he had tonight.
Salt on the wound.
Part that hurts more is the Bills backup is better than any qb on the Giants current roster…

Former Giant Davis Webb might be better than any QB on the Giants roster.

You may be right and that hurts even more.
After this game you think Bill would sign up to coach a cash strapped, talent bereft roster with a meddling owner?

If he thinks he can reclaim the o-line, find guys on defense, and acquire a top QB? Plus Mara isn’t stupid enough to meddle if BB is running the ship
"Ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. You've all got a lot of growing up to do that's for sure. All of good mind to go to the warden about this. You know what hurts the most... well the second most after the other thing?... the lack of respect..."
For sure. A defining victory if they go all the way. Like our destruction of the 49ers in 86.
Bills came ready to play. Pats had no chance.
Hindsight warrior...he was inaccurate. The bigger problem was with the teams that really needed a QB and went elsewhere.
Lol amazing
Gettleman passed on Allen, but his former Assistant GM in Carolina, Brandon Beane, who was hired as the Bills GM in 2017, wasted no time drafting Allen in that 2018 draft.
Fortunately for Buffalo, they lucked out and got the real General Manager talent out of Carolina.
Quote:
Evidence that Gettleman was totally unfit to be GM is the fact that he passed on Allen and drafted Barkley. Allen would be wearing Giants blue if Gettleman knew his ass from a hole in the ground. The claim that Allen had accuracy issues and therefore should not be drafted high was ludicrous.

Great logic...
It may not work out the same way, but I have to imagine in Buffalo this feels like Giants 49, 49ers 3.
Great logic...
I miss those people.

was going to be good in 2021 because Josh Allen really only became a good QB from his Year 2 to Year 3?

Ryan is still here...a few other defenders as well
Great logic...
Are you saying qbs can’t progress from year two to year three? Allen was a great example of that. That’s not an outlandish take at all. Get over it already.
Yep
Yep. That about sums it up. Of course, many of those on this board who told us we were all stupid have since run for the hills under the cover of negativity of this board…

So perfect. Your ears must be burning.
Yeah, that’s the real crux of my post and those silly debates and comparisons to Allen...good lord

I don't.
Incredible. An NFL horror story.
Put me in the camp of hiring Joe Schoen without question.
Belichick looked totally resigned to defeat last night while Allen looked totally dominant.

Except no one ever necessarily compared jones to Allen as much as they said or hoped jones could develop in year 3 like so many qbs before him, Allen included, developed from year 2 to year 3.
Ears ringing? You guys talk this same shit on even fucking thread. I have no choice but to address it.

No one compared to Jones to Allen...are you joking? There were numerous threads/conversations as Jones defenders were grasping at anything they could to support their cause. Yes, plenty of conversation about Year 2 to 3 but a ton of conversations just comparing stats.
come on, man...
