If Giants go for a DC as HC, it's likely that DC will promote somebody they're familiar with.
An OC as HC, I could see a lean on a veteran defensive mind like Fangio or Zimmer.
Bills have some solid defensive coaches who have come up under McDermott/Frazier there recently. The LBers and secondary talent has been well utilized there. Could see one of them get a shot.
I don't know that I have a preference between them.
But I do think it likely a new GM and HC will want a guy of their own choosing. Graham has been a good DC, but his bend don't break D that conceded so much underneath stuff wasn't fun to watch. Though it's true what he could do was certainly limited by personnel, game circumstance, a lousy offence and questionable HC'ing decisions.

Agreed, it's entirely possible that Fangio never gets another HC job so he could be here for years IF the Giants hire the right coach this time.
Fangio is the perfect DC candidate and he would provide added benefit of HC experience if the Giants decide to hire a first time HC.
He did a great job with a ton of young players.
