Rj, Randle, Burks, Fournier and Mitch all made big contributions in the clutch last night to cloae out. Easily could of gave that game away but the settled down and closed it..
Bench needs a shake up, missing Rose is hurting them obvioisly but Quick has been off and Toppin has done nothing..
I really think Reddish will come in and take Toppin's minutes and the back up wing minutes..
Knicks still need a point guard but this starting lineup is really finding a groove

Hopefully Kemba and Rose can get healthy and play through the playoff run.
I would be surprised if they can deal for a serviceable pg.
It's funny expanding the playoffs have keep a lot of teams in it longer and are not giving up on their seasons like they use to.
Would be an awesome pickup for the Knicks. Guy has excellent court vision, is a good defender, a good leader and his age fits the Knicks timeframe much better than Rose or Kemba.
His main drawback is that he’s not a great shooter.
Why might Dallas trade him? They still have not signed him to his extension.
Brunson would not come cheaply but would you deal Obi or Grimes, Deuce and return Dallas’ 2023 first round pick? Dallas would need to add another salary to get a match.
he just doesn't take a lot of 3's.
If you trade for him are you ready to commit to him with starter money?
Dallas needs wings and center, Dallas back is against the wall Brunson is walking next year and getting starter money.
I would hold out for just the first and maybe Noel. Would hate to give up Grimes/Mcbride etc.
People on this board are underrating him. He was terrific w/o Doncic. I am not comparing him to Morant but he outplayed him the other day. He would be a solid addition and their best PG by a significant margin.
Been on that train for a while. He's the only one who should be getting 20 shots every night. Randle needs to do exactly what 16's been saying. Take a back seat, distribute, and not force (15+) shots every night.
Can't imagine they have much leverage to ask for mush more.
Obi is steep for Brunson. He is a straight up rental and someone Dallas can't afford to give 15-20 million per to.
The writing is on the wall also no need for a salary match he is making 1.8 million this year.
I would think a first gets it done.

DAL first for Brunson would be so poetic and awesome. Do it Leon!
As nothing is precluding Dallas from paying him. And from the Knicks perspective trading for him instead of waiting until he is a FA ensures that the Knicks get his bird rights. That’s really crucial since the Knicks won’t have any cap space until 2023 at the earliest.
Obi + the Dallas one might get it done and then the Knicks would have a young core that can grow together.
Brunson would be the Knicks best PG since Jason Kidd for one year or Charlie Ward for a career.

Brunson is a UFA. They have a lot of reason to trade him.
cutting into Fournier, Burks, and Grimes.
Knicks made the trade to see if they can develop him into an all-star.
Burks is 30 years old and Fournier is 29 they are what they will be both will probably be shopped at the deadline.
Cam has shown flashes and the Knicks have done a good job with development, the hawks buried him.
Knicks need to find out if he is the 3-D wing they need and he needs minutes.

I doubt they are in a hurry to deal Burks like some of you think they are. He's a great vet influence and his versatility is very valuable. He's a good 4th quarter guy who takes and makes big shots. He's signed very affordably for a few years. Sure they wanna develop young players, but Thibs wants to win too. Fournier I could see because Ng traded in the right deal.

I dont think Burks will be dealt either unless they need his salary in a big deal, otherwise they arent just trading him for an asset
Hard pass. He should be Rudy Gobert with an offensive game. One of the most overrated players in the league. Huge mistake and waste of assets if they pursue this guy.
I've read a number of posts here and on ultimateknicks.com that
There has to be another move coming, there are to many players that deserve minutes..
There is no way you can wait until the offseason, It has been well known that Cam wants the minutes, you didnt trade for him to sit him and get a disgruntled player who is repped by klutch..
Pacers want 2 firsts or a young player and a first for turner
Honestly that’s not a ridiculous ask for him. We just got Cam Reddish for a young player (a shitty your player at that) and a first. Usually the rumored asking price is higher than what the team ultimately gets so if we ended up having to give up Grimes and a heavily protected draft pick for Turner, would anyone be all that upset?

i am not giving up Grimes for Turner..
Id offer Mitch, Kemba and obi and dall 1st for Turner

I think Grimes is going to see a big reduction in minutes with Reddish coming in. There just aren't enough minutes to go around between Barrett, Fournier, Grimes, Quickley, and now Reddish at the 2/3.
I know Atlanta has experimented with Reddish at the 4 a bit this year, but it has only been a very small sample and Thibs has shown to be very reluctant to "go small" anyway. Plus, with Randle averaging well over 30 minutes, there isn't really much room to cut time from Toppin unless they just start putting him in the DNP category.

Thats why i think a big trade is coming, you dont trade for Reddish to barely play him and piss off Klutch...
They said it was just sore and that he was ramping up, he stayed back from atlanta to get conditioning work and Thibs made it sound like he was close and he is still out

Well they have a back the back do he wasn't going to play both any way. Maybe be they're holding him out for tomorrow.
Guy is a crybaby. He put this team together, he is to blame

What do you mean he is not a good shooter?
Makes me love him for the Knicks even more.
Jalen’s Dad Rick Brunson, was Leon Rose’s first client I think and Thibs was close to Rick when he played for the Knicks.
If you trade for him are you ready to commit to him with starter money?

I think the biggest knock would be is that he is small, so he could be tsken advantage of defensively..
1 kther thing is he rarely runs the team by himself, he is mainky playing with Luka
We should do this. He is the future, not Randle.

you can either get him now and not have to match a bunch of salary or wait til offseaaon and send out around 15 to 18 million..
trading for him now makes a lot of sense

and i believe he is CAA so Rose has the inside track

@vdadhania
Fun fact - of Randle's 9 assists, 7 were sent to people defended by Trae Young. One of the remaining two was Collins....
Knicks traded for him anyway and they are speculating that Knicks promised him a certain amount of minutes..
Obi out of the rotation then, huh?
Knicks made the trade to see if they can develop him into an all-star.

Reddish is the exact opposite of a good defender. If that’s what people are expecting they are going to be very disappointed
I think his defense is more potential, but +- is a flawed stat and he played like 26 games last year
There is no way you can wait until the offseason, It has been well known that Cam wants the minutes, you didnt trade for him to sit him and get a disgruntled player who is repped by klutch..
Kemba/Quick
Fournier/Burks
Rj/Grimes

Mitch/noel
Its to many players, Knicks have played better with a 9 man rotation..
