Giants better move if they want this guy. The Bears have ex-Bills GM Bill Polian leading their GM search, and already have both Bills coordinators scheduled to interview for their Head Coaching job. Apparently McCaskey's ready to make some sort of package deal. They are hearing Schoen crushed the NY interview - expect them to make a power move.
I agree! Go through the process and don't rush it.
I'm not even saying he is - he actually "looks" Chicago to me.
+1
There is a lot of qualified applicants and you need to go through them all.
If you miss out on one so be it and as a candidate, they should probably interview with everyone before saying yes.
I agree that the follow-up interview is probaby in motion if he really crushed it. It is really good that they have multiple really good choices.

So what then if you go through everyone with all due diligence and Schoen is the best candidate? But lo and behold, Chicago has identified he’s their man and hires him tomorrow.
Point being patience could run the risk of losing out on the best candidate.
Giants have to get this right, and who knows, maybe the SF's Adam Peters crushes it as well on Monday.

Take time, consider people outside the box.
Exactly, there’s plenty of extremely well qualified candidates that if we lose one, there’s always another, unless someone really stands out above the rest.
That’s my hope
Wink would bring back Giant football. Run the ball, play action pass, stop the run, pressure the passer.
Bring back tough, smash mouth NY Giant
football.
We haven't seen it in 10 years. No bend but don't break defense. No West coast offense.
That is what Giant fans want to see.

He's my top choice as well given his background and the fact that he's been with a successful organization for a decade. I'm intrigued by Martindale as well and I 'm sure the Giants know him as they interviewed him prior to going with Judge.

Can't pretend to have conviction about a GM, but based on what i read, my preference:
Peters/Mike McDaniel HC
Hortiz/ Whoever he wants as HC (hopefully not Wink, but at the same time, you hire Hortiz you should defer to him)
Schoen/Daboll
But Hortiz and Poles would be better at picking players

... I may have a feeling about this guy or that guy but I'm in no position to have a strong opinion one way or the other.
I would think that smart guy like Schoen would have known that both teams were interested in him for a while and will weigh his options with full information on the table rather than rush to take the first job offered. Very few NFL execs get 2nd shot at GM position, so the pros/cons of both jobs need to be evaluated in context.
From all reports, the Giants have great options at GM and should not rush to make a decision.

WTF does that mean?
