has players rated. If Linderbaum is by far the best center, I'd probably take him at 7. If there's still gonna be an excellent center available in round 2, I could go with an edge at 7. Not sure that Ojabo is the guy, tho
And once again Pickett rising and remaining consensus top QB in the draft.
He is only the top QB because he can start in 2022 which can’t be said for any other QB. There were at least 5 QB from 2021 Draft who would have ranked higher than Pickett if they were in it this year.
My gosh we have a left tackle and some want to move him. Stop.
Cross is weak at run blocking and I would prefer Ekwonu or Green as both can play inside and outside.
I like the OLB like Dean who can do many things and would give Giant's a cover guy and sideline to sideline

That’s why I would pass on Cross and take Okwonu instead
when Andrew Thomas has finally settled in at LT. Would rather have Ekwonu. As far as Ojabu, I think it would be a good pic given his upside. The guy has the ability to be a premier pass rusher, if given more time. I wouldn’t be upset if there was an Ekwonu/Linderbaum combination.
With defensive player as the 3rd player. Since Giants really need a front 7 playmaker, I would take Dean at 5 and trade down with 7 a bit because you can find RT and G later than 7
Keep Thomas at LT, so you are looking at which of Cross, Ekwonu, Green that fit best at RT or G. I'd stay away from Neal due to weight and tendency to lunge.
No on Linderbaum - sign a veteran center because you have all these young players on the line
Why does taking a known good LT in college automatically mean he can’t play RT in the pros? How many OT in college are OG in the pros? A LT protects the QB blind side and have heard it’s an easy transition compared from RT to LT. These other OT in this draft like Neal, Green, Ekwonu might end up as an OG. Would much rather Cross figure out RT and the OT position be set for 10 years instead of taking a player we think will be a good RT and become a Guard. Yes Giants do need a Guard or 2, but need a RT badly as well.
I’d rather take Linderbaum than Ojabo. They’ll be several quality ERs available in rounds 2 and 3.
How many times has the braintrust passed on a legit C prospect because "slot x is too high to take a C". It's been 'don't sleep on 'Pio' or other nonsense. Was a disaster to move Gates to LG and his status is and remains unclear. Haven't had a legit C since Westburg's 2nd season 2015 (took a step back 2016). Enough already

Cross has the build and playing style more suited for the left side.
Thomas is one of the few things that are working out for the Giants.
It ain't broke, don't fix it when there are so many things that are broke.
The Giants have a few young guys who seem to be for real: Thomas, McKinney, Ojulari, Toney. None are All-Pro level yet, but they're good enough to basically pencil them in and look for help to surround them.
...No on Linderbaum - sign a veteran center because you have all these young players on the line
Why, because Giants are going to contend in '22? Team is starting from scratch in almost every conceivable way.
Get the right GM and coach and this will turn around fast. You don't spend a top-10 pick on a center
This is not going to be turned around fast. Too many holes in the roster. Linderbaum could be a ten year all pro. Every position on the OL is important.

I think they will try to re-sign Cam Robinson, and then they still have Little and Taylor at tackle. If they do re-sign Robinson there is no way they go Neal at 1. He isn't going to make it 5, so it really doesn't matter but if the Jags stay at 1 I think it's and EDGE

Go with RT or G at 36
AT has shown enough to be a starter at LT for the next decade.

And that first pick is Matt Corral.

In a trade down possibly, but not at 5 I hope.
just my take... especially if Hortiz is the guy

That's what we said about Quenton Nelson and a day doesn't go by now that people don't regret not drafting him.

Yup
