After this beatdown at the hands of the Bills, is there a chance that the Patriots finally move on and give McDaniels the throne he was promised a few years ago when he almost left for Indy? Feel like he will definitely garner interest in one of the other head coaching jobs if he isn’t given the shot in New England, and this loss is kind of a great opportunity for the Pats to move on.
And of course, if this does happen, do we think Bill would come home?
I am pretty sure that BB will coach in NE as long as he wants to. It is anybody's guess as to when that will be.
Wow

I don’t think he’d be fired. I think it’d be a mutual understanding that it’s time to move on, esp with Josh promised the throne. Bill might see it as tough sledding in New England and want to have a shot with the Giants. Just a thought…
Being skeptical he’d leave NE is completely understandable. Saying no to him if he’s available to come to the Giants is freakin hilarious.

Find a modern innovative coach and a Josh Allen type qb.
Wow
BB killing it without Brady? Reminder BB has won 1 playoff game without Tom. Guess you aren’t a student of the game.
Lmao right......
BB is done being a Pat on his terms not Krafts.

He’ll be 70 next year. The chance to bring in Belichick was after the 2017 season.

I wouldn’t say no to him, just think the Giants missed their chance for him (if there ever was one).

I agree 100%, but Kraft basically gave McDaniels that promise (i believe anyway) to prevent him from taking the Colts job. That has to rear it’s ugly head one way or the other, whether it’s Josh leaving, or him becoming the new HC in Foxboro.
I think people are saying wow because you make it sound like another Josh Allen is just sitting there waiting in the wings. If he keeps up the pace of the last two seasons he’s approaching legend status. Especially if he grabs a ring or two along the way. I’ve seen strong arms, and I’ve seen scrambling QB’s, but the guy does it all.
Why did we have three placekickers in this photo? Allegre, Stover, and Bahr. Seems excessive....
The big question is can Bill the personnel czar get Bill the coach the weapons he needs?
Dude just went to the playoffs with a rookie qb and a rebuilding roster. Quick name 5 pats - can you?
Expect him to invest in his OL and front 7 and will not be surprised going LB in round 1.

Like I said above, the 2019 team which Brady took to 12-4 and a 1st round whooping by the Titans featured a declining offense. Anyone want to guess what the Patriots Defense ranked in 2019? Drumroll.........1st.
The talent in 2020 was bad especially factoring the opt-outs and having to start Cam Newton, 7-9 was pretty solid IMO. This year the fact that they even made it was impressive and Belichick is still cranking out top 10 and even 5 defenses.
Until they get some top players on offense they won't be able to come back often against good teams. They are designed to play with the lead and they still do that really well. They need a big time WR and for Jones to take the next step in 2022.
Belichik’s departure from NE will almost certainly be his retirement, and he will almost certainly stay retired.
but who knows whats in store for next week
what a great photo
