Will be rooting hard against them, but I have a feeling they play tough. Very good run game, and Hurts can make winning plays. Really frustrating how they fire coach, seem to be in rebuild mode and still make playoffs, all the while setting themselves up great for next season.
However, I don’t think they beat a playoff team this season, so we ll see.

I still don't understand how many "Giants" fans that were rooting for the Eagles over the Pats in the SB. The reasoning made no sense.
I never understood that either. I want nothing more than to watch the Eagles get annihilated today. I personally have no issue with Tom Brady. The Giants beat him twice in the Superbowl so I have no resentment for the GOAT.
To EVER root for the Eagles is akin to cutting my arms off
the Eagles will be trounced, they are not all that good. If you really look at the games they won, they beat up on some questionable teams
Heck the Giants beat them and we were terrible.
The Giants also beat the Saints. They beat a couple of teams we should have beat even as bad as we were like the Broncos, the Panthers and the Falcons.
Every solid team, now in the playoffs that they played had their number.
The Cowboys destroyed them twice. The 49ers ate them up. The Raiders kicked them around. The Chargers beat them. The Chiefs beat them. The Bucs beat them early on.
There’s a lot of advantages they have in this one.
But maybe I’m just being overly worried, but I also have a bad feeling about this one. Just like the Washington playoff game last year, I get the feeling that the Eagles are more than capable enough of keeping this one close and having a chance late.
Are not in the same class as Tampa. Bucs 2in this easy here. I don't know what the people buying Hurts are looking at, he'll be out of the league in 5 years

The second year in the league really tells you a lot about a QB. When teams start seeing you for the 2nd and 3rd times, and there is a lot of tape in general.
Hurts has such a limited area on the field where he can throw the ball.
I expect the Eagles to take a QB on the first round this year.
Tried to force it to Evans and the shovel pass did not fool the guy it’s opposed to fool
Actually no, Evans just wasn't expecting it which is why he said my fault to Brady there. That was a TD pass if Evans turned his head just a tad sooner.

Agreed. They pounded it up in there the last time down close and got the rushing TD. Not sure why they went away from what was working. I would’ve ran it on 1st and 2nd again.
No offense by Eagles, D.Smith invisible not the all world wide receive that small, needs a big body on the other side. All they have is the TE and he is dropping passes. Once you hit the QB in the mouth the run game goes away.
Eagles played a soft schedule and it shows. Same thing with the Raiders no #1 wide receiver only TE.
You need a Davante Adams type who know he is a dog and still can produce. We paid Galladay thinking that and we got a fraud.
pick by Hurts. Even a FG there would have lifted the Eagles going into halftime. Stared down Smith and tired to do too much as the pressure was about to get him. Should have just thrown it away.
the question is how they go about it. Go after a veteran FA in a trade or the draft. They have some nice players but they also have quite a few good players on the wrong side of 30. Be interesting to see what direction they go.
This post initially threw me for a loop. Wait, Barnett, why are people talking about Reagor? That was 45 minutes ago. Then I realized I was 30 seconds behind on the DVR.
Someone legitimately asked about Todd Bowles as a head coach
I really don't think he likes playing with Hurts. All season every time they pan to Smith after a failed 3rd down he's got this look on his face like "Bitch that's why you hadda leave Bama..."
Yeah and I think Howie is smart enough to use his 3 first rounders to set them up for 2023
That team wins despite Howie not because of.
I agree with this. They made some good moves at the top of the draft and selected two Alabama players. I could do that. Their drafts match the Giants outside of that.
I really think Daniel Jones is a better QB than Hurts.
I've watched four of Philly's games now, and I've seen nothing from him.
I don't know what is going on in his other games. Getting carried by the running game, I guess?
You’re not dumb. Neither are any good but I’d argue Jones is probably the better runner. He’s definitely more athletic. Hurts was probably utilized better this season.

It's funny, because I really don't think Jones is THAT bad throwing. He just somehow has less than zero pocket presence. Oh, and half of the games he locks on the primary receiver all day. Given time, Jones can make most throws.

agree, and pats win would just make our super bowls look better

I’m going after one of my college buddies (supposedly a Giants fan) as we speak for posting a Go Birds story. I’ll leave out the language i used.

Eagles defense will let Buc's receivers run free and Brady will not miss them.

I say it's no contest.
And the Giant and their fans at home watching on TV once again. Fun times.
But maybe I’m just being overly worried, but I also have a bad feeling about this one. Just like the Washington playoff game last year, I get the feeling that the Eagles are more than capable enough of keeping this one close and having a chance late.
Let’s go Bucs!
Who gives a shit?
Should be 51-0 Bucs.
It wasn’t low but sure looked late to me.
*Wirfs. And yikes.
I’m with your on that. Been thinking about it all week. I still don’t think they’re that good though
The replay from the opposite side looked pretty bad. Almost cost Brady a MCL. Eagles know how the cheap shot and get away with it.
They have no chance. They won’t score 20.

He hit him just below the hip. That wasn’t the knee
Totally agree. Hurts stinks.
What was that referee last night's name? It's always the same one up to something. Booger or snot or mucus membranes.
Or more accurately, try to become just a passer.
Two scores down, one more to go , and we’re there.
The Eagles didn’t beat a playoff team this year.
Hurts stinks.

You hate to see the Eagles getting carved up?
I enjoy the hell out of it. Always. Forever...
Even with the ref interference I thought the Raiders-Bengals was at least exciting. Came down to the final play.

guys up. You hate to see it.

I would think (and hope) that's a joke

I guess I still haven't recovered from some Giants' fans that I know, rooting for the Eagles against the Pats in the Super Bowl.
My apologies, Terz. *grin*
LOL, right. What a ridiculous commercial.
LOL. Love the car commercials too. They’re all so bizarre and confusing.

Lol all good yes was sarcastic. Any one who wanted the eagles to win that superbowl aren't real fans IMO.
Clearly took his helmet off himself

Every commercial no matter what it's for shows people in spotlessly clean multi million dollar homes in upscale neighborhoods
I remember OBJ got flagged against Baltimore after he scored. It’s stupid.

I was there for that. He took it off when he was off the field.
Who cares

That’s at least 3 calls against the Eagles that were horrendous.

No. But they’re still bad. It’s like watching the giants beat the Packers and refs in 2012.
This.
nice play by Edwards
Good example of the difference between a top flight OL and backup level, which is what the Giants have been playing with for quite some time.
Hurts isn't a QB who will win a SB for you
I am plenty entertained.
Quote:
Have no business in the playoffs

Neither is Nick Foles and yet this scumbag franchise managed to anyway.
Refs, cupcake soft Minnesota Vikings defense and Bill Belichick taking his stupid pills.
This. Guys are open all over the Eagles. Hurts doesn’t see it and when he does he’s way too late with a lengthy delivery
They were worse to Agholor who did dad more than Reagor although he too had the dropsies.
I think having Hurts as an enigma at QB has lightened the shade.
[quote] On a lof of these throws [/quote
Has been all game. He's not good.
Let’s go Niners!
MATCH!
That pick off by Barrett was outstanding.
Mine did too
Yep. Stuck on “Mike Evans Touchdown”
Hurts is not their future, neither is Reagor. The ass kicking has been sweet!
Are you kidding? You saw how charismatic and successful he was with the Jets, right?
No. Maybe it was just the stink of the Jets but he strikes me as a guy who is an elite DC but not a good HC.
Some guys are meant to coordinators.
That was odd. Maybe one of the satellite trucks transmitting the game crapped out
Thanks Jinx-zilla
(Kidding)
It was Brady.

That would be lovely.

Both a late hit AND helmet-to-helmet.
Right on cue
He kneed Evans in the head and then pushes Brady from behind. He deserved the PF early. He likes to give cheap shots. Does it every game.
LOL.
Maybe because they no cannot stop the Eagles now?
We're watching the game in 4k......he looks like he's smoked 2 or 3 blunts.
Yeah and I think Howie is smart enough to use his 3 first rounders to set them up for 2023

A FG Block returned for a TD feels like the only way the Eagles had a chance.
Agreed. The Eagles horseshoe is the biggest in sports.
That just means they have the loosest assholes

Neither are anywhere near a franchise QB though.
Probably look like Colt McCoy last year.
Ray Didinger, the well respected HOF writer from Philly, said on the post game Hurts deserves to come back as starter.
I tend to agree. Hurts looked bad today, but again there's the hope he can improve. I am just wondering if this is his ceiling: backup NFL QB.
