Those two are the last remaining of the 9. There hasn't been any news about anymore interviews upcoming so I believe the Giants will make their decision by the end of next week.

I think I read that they'll both have the first interview on Monday
If there is a name that is common on the list of Head Coaches the GM would bring, I would not be surprised if Giants have reached out through back channels to gauge interest and also to see if there is someone else they should look at interviewing.
I think for me if the hire is any one of Hortiz, Schoen, Peters or Poles I’ll be pretty ecstatic.
Of the names so far those entice me the most as well. I tend to be biased in favor of people who have worked their way up in multiple organizations with different philosophies. Even though Hortiz and Poles have only been with one team IIRC, the Ravens have been the pinnacle of talent development without having someone like Tom Brady who makes everyone around him better and Poles predated Andy Reid in Kansas City. Since Reid brought something completely different I consider that as if Poles had worked for multiple teams.
preference:
Peters/Mike McDaniel
Hortiz
Schoen
Poles
I agree and the best part is that it will almost definitely be one of the top four candidates Schoen, Horitz, Poles, or Peters. I read an article the other day claiming that all four are highly respected among the NFL and are ready for the promotion.

What I like most about Horitz is that he has worked under Newsome and DeCosta for years. Those are two of the best GM's over the past 25 years. It would be nice to have a GM who values LB's again.
