Or trade one of the picks for a 2023 first plus additional draft compensation so we have two firsts in 2023 to get the QB of the future in what is expected to be a better class (on paper of course).
looked at the roster of this team? Trading up for any position with this roster besides QB (and there's not a QB worth taking in this draft that high) would be horrendous management
And if someone offers multiple picks - like 2 ones and a second and third/fifth for their first pick (assuming that team wants a QB) the giants new GM should snap that trade up in a New York minute. They still would have a top ten pick for a lineman The team has so many holes and cannot possibly fill them all in one draft so the team needs to accumulate many draft picks in the next two years as they tear down DGs work and start over. A trade up is a waste of assets. Maybe bargain hunt for a couple free agents in area of need and set competition at a position but build only through the draft - just my opinion after watching the same train wreck for nearly ten years.
As others have said, a trade back from one or both first round picks would be great, given all the needs and the fact that there don't be any sure fire talents in the top 10.
If I had to guess, the Giants will keep at least one of the first round picks and trade back with the other.
Ideally, some team wants to jump ahead of Carolina to take a QB and want the Giants #5 overall. Whatever non QBs are there at #5 will still be there at #7. Hopefully, the trade back nets and additional 2nd or 2nd and 3rd rounder.
Draft an offensive tackle at #7 (or a stud defender if the clear BPA), then take a center or guard with the trade back from #5. Then more OL, Edge, LB, TE etc. through the other picks.

I agree about not trading up but if they trade 5 to a team wanting a QB ahead of Car, are you saying Car takes a QB at 6 as well?
Because if not, how is whatever non QBs who would’ve been there at 5 still there? Car would surely be taking one of those, unless you think they still go QB. If so, what two QBs do you think are top six worthy?

This. I don't think any trade downs will be there for us this year but if they were, I'd do it.
