Trade up for Hutchinson

AROCK1000 : 1/16/2022 3:39 pm
Or trade down and stockpile picks
For OL in 2 and 3rd rounds
Either stay put

and take two good players.

Or trade one of the picks for a 2023 first plus additional draft compensation so we have two firsts in 2023 to get the QB of the future in what is expected to be a better class (on paper of course).
No, do not trade

Up for Anyone in this draft!
Definitely don't trade up
Jay on the Island : 1/16/2022 3:55 pm : link
If they don't like the QB's in the draft then I hope they receive another 2023 1st round pick as part of the move down.
Need more picks not less...

no to a trade up.
have you

looked at the roster of this team? Trading up for any position with this roster besides QB (and there's not a QB worth taking in this draft that high) would be horrendous management
Giants should keep every pick they have

And if someone offers multiple picks - like 2 ones and a second and third/fifth for their first pick (assuming that team wants a QB) the giants new GM should snap that trade up in a New York minute. They still would have a top ten pick for a lineman The team has so many holes and cannot possibly fill them all in one draft so the team needs to accumulate many draft picks in the next two years as they tear down DGs work and start over. A trade up is a waste of assets. Maybe bargain hunt for a couple free agents in area of need and set competition at a position but build only through the draft - just my opinion after watching the same train wreck for nearly ten years.
I like a man who is decisive....

That would be a very DG type move
Dave on the UWS : 1/16/2022 4:27 pm : link
move up to take a guy who is going to be over-rated and over-drafted.

Pepe LePugh : 1/16/2022 4:34 pm : link
And the player is there at 4, I could see 5 and 7 for 4 and 10.
No Way

As others have said, a trade back from one or both first round picks would be great, given all the needs and the fact that there don't be any sure fire talents in the top 10.

If I had to guess, the Giants will keep at least one of the first round picks and trade back with the other.

Ideally, some team wants to jump ahead of Carolina to take a QB and want the Giants #5 overall. Whatever non QBs are there at #5 will still be there at #7. Hopefully, the trade back nets and additional 2nd or 2nd and 3rd rounder.

Draft an offensive tackle at #7 (or a stud defender if the clear BPA), then take a center or guard with the trade back from #5. Then more OL, Edge, LB, TE etc. through the other picks.
No.

Don't want to trade up for anyone.
Nope
US1 Giants : 1/16/2022 5:04 pm : link
if anything I would trade down. This team has a lot of needs and will have a new HC.

This. I don't think any trade downs will be there for us this year but if they were, I'd do it.

I agree about not trading up but if they trade 5 to a team wanting a QB ahead of Car, are you saying Car takes a QB at 6 as well?

Because if not, how is whatever non QBs who would’ve been there at 5 still there? Car would surely be taking one of those, unless you think they still go QB. If so, what two QBs do you think are top six worthy?
Swaping picks with Detroit
