I have a couple of concerns. Prior to this year he was on hot seat due to archaic offense. Secondly, he is kinda like Peter Laviolette in NHL where he has success at every stop but never stays long term either because he is bored or just rubs people the wrong way. Need to do a diligent investigation. He also needs to be able to work with the GM.
“This isn’t happening”. We don’t know this at all. I think there is a decent possibility of this happening. The Giants job is attractive, and we have no idea who Harbaugh has relationships with.
This would honestly be best case scenario. To get a GM like Peters, Hortiz, or Schoen and pair him with Harbaugh would be a home run. He’s won wherever he’s gone, and the Giants could use a team of people that will use analytics and also give their players a kick in the ass. We should be hoping this happens imo.
RE: Plus he's won at Stanford, Mich, and San Diego
We should definitely find out if there is a legitimate interest, but I really want to stick to the process. Hire the GM first and then let the GM lead the HC search.
We need a GM to get in here quickly and start implementing a plan to address all the damage DG has done. This fix is going to require a very deft mechanic.
They had a weird joint practice right near my house. It was for recruiting purposes. I went and watched, literally walked there. Jim is a clown, John has such a different demeanor.

Yeah, posters talking out of their asses, aggressively and confidently making definitive statements based on very little information is kind of BBI's MO.
Best coach out there and it's not close. If he wants power give it too him almost half the guys on BBI were wanting to give it to the clown judge at the end of last year. He turns the team around fast who cares if it's only for 4 or 5 seasos. It's going to be winning football again for the first-time in a decade

NYG may have been talking with Harbaugh through backchannels since the new year if not late December.
RE: RE: Plus he's won at Stanford, Mich, and San Diego
Why, what assistant coach that's out here brings any type of actual winning to the table? none!!
Only chance is probably with Horitz since he’s worked with John Harbaugh for 10+ years and Jim may be willing to make that work.

My concern with ole Jim is how well he'd work with the GM. Would there be a power struggle?
Are you talking about Judge? Lol.
Doug Pederson has won a Super Bowl

a shouting wannabe tough guy.. nope

no.. but same goes for him..
So basically here is a HC who has won everywhere he went, including the NFL, and was also an NFL player.
What is there not to like?

he wears khakis and people think he's a douche from interviews. they'll ignore all the good stuff he does for his coaches and other stuff he does

Odd take considering proven success at both nfl and college
He is a proven commodity. Every other name we’re talking about is a major gamble with maybe the exception of Flores.

He did very well at San Francisco and the tough guy is much better than the last three coaches the Giant's have.
Who do you like?

His college record is 119-41 (in addition to his NFL record of 44-25-1).
