Jones would only have won the game if you put him in on that last play. Sure, he'd win the game on tha tplay. But not if he starts and plays 60 minutes.
Well, I hate to give a Cowboy any credit, but Dak has shown himself to be a better quarterback so far. I do think Jones does have the potential to be better and I think that given the right situation, he could succeed. However, neither one of them have the talent to put a team on their backs the way Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and other top tier quarterbacks can.
Hurts is clearly the worst quarterback in the division. It's not particularly close, either.
countertroll
When you avoid a troll's trollish act (or taking it deep) and countering it by successfully trolling him/her back. This action is hard to pull off.
He put up regular season numbers Eli couldn't match, most football people probably would have said that Romo was the better quarterback, but Romo won only two playoff games, while Eli won twice that many in one season.
So far Dak has played a lot like Romo. He had the game in front of him, he had the ball with decent field position with lots of time to take his team downfield and win the game and he didn't.
Not saying Eli was better than Romo, but it's kind of interesting if Cowboy fans would trade regular season success for a Super Bowl win.
Despite all the miseries of the Manning and post-Manning years, I wouldn't give up those two incredible winning years. Cause it just doesn't get any higher than that for an NFL fan.
Jones is better than the Dallas back up Cooper Rush. Who subbed for Dak this year and won in Minnesota with a very nice game.
Dak is so overrated. Surrounded with talent. He can’t carry a team. Locks in to one receiver, doesn't see field, not accurate and can’t throw receiver open. Folds like a cheap suit against better teams. Pads stats against weaker teams. $40M in cap space.

This is true. And my friend is a diehard Dallas fan and was pissed when dak got paid for this very reason. Jones isn’t great but then again he wasn’t blessed to be drafted to a team with an all pro line and skill guys everywhere. In fact , he had the exact opposite roster. Difference when your drafted 6th overall or taken In the fourth round as a flyer. The roster was set for him to succeed. He took over a championship caliber roster and has done very little with it

I think he's overpaid, too.
Every good QB in the NFL, btw, is surrounded with talent. So that argument is silly.
But he's a top ten QB. Whether you like it or not. And to say he's not accurate is buffoonery. He's a career 67% passer.
He legit plays on an all star roster. He’s the reason they don’t advance year after year. Go look at his splits. Check the box scores for each game. Lights up poor competition and plays poorly vs better teams. It’s all right there. He’s an average QB. Dallas fans see it
He wasn’t drafted to rebuild a franchise. Romo took that same exact team one pass away from a championship game which was actually caught by dez. He was put into a great position. It’s rare but he lucked into it. They come up short year after year and it falls on dak. 7 points before the 4th quarter today.

In now world where every QB is healthy is Dak top 10. That’s just being ridiculous.
Allen, burrow, Tannehill, Herbert, Mahomes, Rodgers, Murray, Stafford, Wilson, Brady. Clearly all better and there’s not one guy there you’re taking Dak over.
Even guys like Lamar(he at least can run at an elite level), Carr and he’ll even Cousins have an argument that they’re better.

Reminder - Jones was drafted to rebuild a franchise as the 6th pick. Dak was drafted as a project with the 135th pick.
Ever notice the quarterbacks on a good team seem to play better than those on shitty teams.
I don't think it is a coincidence.
People fail to realize this. They just rather throw stats at your face like it’s golf or baseball. It’s insanity to speak to people on this board. Dak has how many all pros on his roster since he’s entered the league? Jones has how many all pros on his roster since he’s entered the league. Dak has had 3 consistent all pro lineman. Not pro bowl. All pro. Let that sink in to you guys for a few minutes. Then we’ll get to the skill guys. Instead let’s talk about completion percentage!!!

You couldn't get Dak for Jones, any three players on our roster and two first round picks.
You're delusional.
Game in, game out, Dak is superior to DJ, and I'm a big DJ fan.
Even if you discount the protection Dak is given, and the run game the Boys have, Dak is the better quarterback. BUT he is maybe even more inconsistent than Daniel, and Dak has seldom played well in the clutch, whereas we've seldom even SEEN DJ in the clutch. Nor have we seen DJ with the time, and the weapons, Dak has.
In short, I'd take Dak to get me to the playoffs, and I think I'd take Daniel IN the playoffs.

I guess you don’t watch Cowboys because everything you say about Dak is incorrect. He doesn’t beat the better teams but pads stats against weaker. Look at his stats. Has one playoff win. Cowboy roster is stacked on offense.
Win that game. Prescott missed WR after WR in the game. As bad as the play call was at the end of the game this dumbass has to know how much time is on the clock and when he needs to slide to get another play off.

But I doubt it

yep give dan that head speed and he is almost the fastest qb in the league. that was a clear td.
Hurts is clearly the worst quarterback in the division. It's not particularly close, either.

Were you surprised the 49ers won?

For the daft, it was brought up above that Dak wasn't accurate.
So I corrected another stupid error.
And Murray is a better runner, more accurate.
What does Dak do better than Murray? Play with better people? Feasting on the Giants and shitbird teams doesn’t make you top 10.

Uh, Dak had a better completion %, YPA, A/YA, and more TDs than Tannehill.
Dak has a career QBR well over 60. Murray is in the 50s.
You really have a lose definition of "clearly".
I don't know how he does it.

Hopkins has been hurt for weeks. Ertz and Green are washed up. Come on your better than this. Does he play with perennial all pros on the OL?
1.) Jones fumbles
2.) They end up kicking FGs instead of scoring TDs
2.) A combo of the above.

Well not to defend but that should have happened but Jimmy G is pretty bad too.
