I think Dak just had a brain cramp when he saw the middle of the field completely open. Either way, it was one of the most idiotic things I have ever seen.

I think he's pretty solid. He's not Reid, Payton, or McVay. But Dallas was #1 in PPG this year. They were 6th in 2019 (throwing out 2020 because Dak went down). So, whatever he's doing seems to be working.

Is anybody putting him in the same category as the play callers I mentioned? I don't think so.

He's got talent to work with and they led the league in PPG. What else do you want?

Prescott and the offense looked no where near confident the way they did earlier in the year.

They just never really got things going in November/December.

The OL fell off. Even today with the Niners injuries they were getting pressure.
Dak’s Achilles is having to win the game imv and this rears it’s head playoff time. Pretty common with many QB’s. Now if Dallas was gaining big yards on the ground things may have been different. Physicality tends to win in the playoffs.

He;s good but nothing outstanding in anything he does. Didn't he have an issue for a while - more than 1 year- when Dallas was losing they never came back?

Part of the problem is that many perrenially overrate their roster talent by 30%.

I don't why, but when you put a star on a guys helmet people start raving about how talented he is, and it is worse among Giants fans.

Dallas has a good roster, not a superbowl roster.

Tampa Bay has a lombardi, a better roster and a far better QB, and they dont have the one seed either.

I think the problem is Dak ran too far. Had he given himself up five yards earlier, they very likely get the chance to spike the ball.

Is he ready to be a HC? I have no idea but don't let one game determine his entire coaching career. I personally think that he and Quinn deserve most of the credit for that teams success so I hope that McCarthy stays as HC but he loses both of his coordinators to HC jobs.

Dallas always manages to hire excellent coordinators but there is a lot of competition for coordinators this offseason and the other destinations might seem more attractive since McCarthy will be on the hot seat if he returns.

If McCarthy is fired I would love to see the Giants try to poach ST Coordinator John Fassel from Dallas. I doubt Jerry lets him leave but if he is willing to move on he would make a great addition to the new staff.

is not the problem in Dallas. They lost because they were undisciplined and their highly paid QB came up small.
