Lot of arguments on who’s better or who’s worse…
But my god - this is a collection of QBs who aren’t worth investing into. Dak May be the “best” but it’s been clear for years he is elevated by his teammates and usually crumbles when the big stage is on.
Hurts? Can’t throw
Jones? Can’t stay healthy, can’t read a defense, can’t stop turning it over…
Heinicke? Great story, below average QB.
Man - if any team can draft a franchise QB - they may own the division for a long time.
He had 10 this year in 11 full games. Not too good is it?

3 or 4 of them came vs rams where the entire team was out including Thomas and jones played probably when he shouldn’t have after the concussion. Who cares about context right
I’m not expecting the Giants to compete for the super bowl next year, in fact they’ll probably be very bad again.
I mean they miss on so many guys to begin with, why not trade for a quarterback?
The salary cap aside.

Oh I forgot they don’t count cause guys are hurt. Including the QB who has been hurt every year 🙄
Switched over from Debaser. Dak certainly showed it on the big stage again! Lol
Hint to Giant GM

Of course they count. When your playing with all backups on the line. No protection. First play of the solder whiffs and jones fumbles. Toney Golladay slayton didn’t play. Who you play with matters. It’s a team sport. He’s not out there alone

Have a look at the # of turnovers per game, around the league
I love how Dallas loses and that somehow validates that Jones is a good QB.

I clearly stated all QB in the division are awful. So don’t lump me in with them.

Actually not bad, check the league stats. Or how about Eli, over 300 turnovers in 234 games, including 55 fumbles lost an NFL record
Jones has issues, turnovers are not one

Jones doesn't turn the ball over because his coaches are afraid to let him throw the ball. Wake up.

Lol comparing Jones to Eli. Hahaha
When you need to shit on Eli to prop up Jones - you know you can’t stoop any lower. Hell I bet Jones has a better turnover percentage than Favre and Brees too. Guess those guys aren’t any good either.

You need to learn that while you treat your opinions as fact, others don’t. Fact is TO s are not that big a problem for Jones.
Maybe you should wake up and realize your opinion is just that , an opinion, other “opinions” are allowed.

Comparing Jones to Eli as a quarterback, ridiculous.
Comparing his TO stats to Make the pt. that Eli had more than 1 turnover per game and was not considered to have a turnover problem……yes
TO s have not been a major problem for Jones, don’t know why you can t accept that instead of trying to minimize that pt. by changing my narrative.
C'mon.
"Probably?"
How about "massively?"
Yes he is "good" but nowhere near as good as his contract. His contract is an eventual equalizer for the other teams so they can catch up.

Stop the comedy that the division "is open" for the Giants.

I get your point and don’t disagree. The contracts are absurd and even better then average qbs get overpaid. Especially when viewing a freshly minted contract. Remember what cousins and jimmy g got paid. At the time it was outrageous. Now it’s par for the course / bargain. It’s way out of line but also normal.
I view it similar to this or that qb being “over drafted”. Almost every qb is “overdrafted” It’s just the league these days
Any type of "starting NFL QB" numbers haven't happened since DJ cut down on his turnovers. In the last 2 years, DJ has one 300 yard game (itbwas actually a 400 yard game) and is averaging less than a TD per game. Those numbers won't work.

I don't see it.
No quarterback would be good on the Giants.
Jones is likely next but is too often injured and does not complete drives.
(Did anyone hear Aikman say Brady told him that he knows where he is throwing the ball before he gets to the LoS?)
Hurts can be decent, but he isn't
Heinke - like Hurts but less run and better passer.
I would surmise the Tampa Bay Buccaneers disagree.

Of course that s true, but not sure I buy into the theory his turnovers became less of a problem because the offense stunk.

and too much blame. You need a decent QB to win. But a great QB is not going to get you over the top.

I said great QB....Not the GOAT. In any case the Bucs have a great defense and are otherwise loaded. The Giants got to 5 Superbowls with decent to very good QB's. Hoss, Collins, Simms and Eli. Eli was the best of the bunch, but it is a stretch to call him a great QB.
The Chiefs had a decent QB in Alex Smith, and they were never going to win the Super Bowl with him.
They replaced him with Patrick Mahomes, a great QB, and are two wins away from being in the Super Bowl for the 3rd straight season.
But posters are on here arguing that he doesn't turn the ball over. Great, he sucks, but he gives us the opportunity to punt.
No he isn’t. Same narrative every year.
And before anyone looks at stats, Cousins stats the last two years could be considered top 7 in the game.
Jones has the physical tools, but is clueless about how to play QB
Hurts is a "football player" but can't throw well enough to succeed in the NFL.
I think Heineke gives you the best chance to win among the 3 backup caliber players, but that's splitting hairs among bad players

So what is your "opinion"? That it was really Garrett holding back Jones ; otherwise he would have had the production in TDs and yards he had in his rookie year minus the 39 turnovers? Or that is OK since Eli threw a lot of interceptions as well? (Never mind he threw a lot of TDs too for that era of the NFL). Or also that Simms sucked his first few years so that Jones will be a HOF too some day?
THose are not real opinions but wishes.
Hurts - good athlete, horrible accuracy bottom half of the league QB
Heinke - bottom half of the league QB, backup talent level
Jones - bottom half of the league QB, lacks the instincts and football IQ to be a top 10 QB.
I agree an Elite QB would be set up to dominate this division.
