Some guys are coordinators for a reason. Similar to guys like Fangio, it just doesn’t work out for some as head coach. Roman might be one of those guys.

Had nothing at RB, a backup at LT, and Jackson and Huntley both whom need a massive improvement in reading defenses.
He's succeeded in SF, BUF and in BAL.
I hope they can him so they allow their mobile QB throw the ball more when in fact, ever since his 2nd year, he's gotten worse because teams have film on him.
With him. They want someone to take him away Link - ( New Window )
Be careful what you wish for Ravens fans. Roman tailor made that offense perfectly for Lamar Jackson. If you put Jackson in a basic offense or one built on the vertical passing game then Jackson will not thrive like he has under Roman.
Now with that said I have no idea if Roman would be a good HC as we've seen countless great coordinators flame out as a HC. Roman has been around for a long time and he has never received a HC job which speaks volumes especially when you see the success he has had as an OC.

Bruce Arians was 60(!) before he got his first shot as interim HC of the Colts. He's now had success at three stops. Roman is 49, plenty young for an NFL HC. But the fact that he hasn't been given a shot yet shouldn't suggest he wouldn't be good in the big seat.
I think the reason he hasn't gotten a shot has to do with the type of offense they run. Teams don't have a Lamar Jackson waiting in the wings, and they might question his ability to craft a different type of offense. And there are also questions with the offensive's limitations in the passing game. But how much of that is a lack of creativity on Roman's part, or Jackson's limitations as a passer?

Can confirm this as well. Ravens fans would be happy to see him go.
He is kinda like our Gilbride.
