Should be a big week ahead for the Giants

We end up with Schoen and Daboll….from the beginning that’s been my choice.
Hortiz is very qualified, and I’d be happy to have him as GM…if Roman comes with that would be great too

closely at the names. I have to say, I like Hortiz just a bit more than I like Schoen.

Apologies if this is something that in years past I would have already known, but what is the Bears' timeline on Schoen? Have they had him in for an interview?

And I’d love to see his modern approach to the game with the Giants.

Would a Hortiz / McDaniel pairing be possible?

Keep in mind that the Rooney Rule requires an in-person interview. So, before they hire anyone they'll need to interview Poles in person in addition anyone else they want to have second round interviews with. So, this process might not end until late this week or even next week. I think that's why you are seeing leaks of head coaching candidates they like. I think those are names of guys who are the first or second choice of guys they've interviewed and they are leaking their interest to signal to those guys that they are interested because they will be behind some other teams in interviewing head coaches.

And airline problems that a zoom meeting for second round would suffice.

I am pretty sure the Rooney Rule was amended to allow virtual interviews to satisfy the rule. So the Giants are in compliance.

Oh yea, that could be a fantastic group right there. We know Roman is an outstanding OC and calls his plays, whereas Fangio is equally a fantastic DC. They could be the group to bring us to glory again. That would be fun to watch again! One can only hope. This is the season of hope!

Virtual interviews satisfy the Rooney rule.

Poles may be one of the 2 or 3 finalists anyhow.

They will likely interview 3 in person next week.
