I started reading with amusement then was shocked that they think their us.
" Blow it up"
"fire the coach
" rebuild the offensive line"
" our front seven suck"
"the play calling is atrocious"
"we need defensive tackles"
" Jerrah is terrible of judging talent"
"I'm not watching anymore football"
and hilarious " Romo should STFU he never delivered"
In my own defense, it was like watching two teams both coached by Mike McCarthy. Then sprinkle in the expected, yet still shocking Jimmy G stupidity…
Coaching Staff Turnover
Starters who are now FA’s
I think of the 2 coordinators DanQuinn gets a HC job. Possible for Moore .
Some really good FA that they will have difficulty re-signing especially Schultz.
Or, was it the OC, that they may hire as their next head coach?
This is an important question that needs to be discussed.
I thought Dak just ran too far. If he slid after 10 yards they would have had enough time to spike the ball. The call was to get closer to get one shot at the end zone. If he slides at the 30 it's not much different than the 25. Of course, that's easy to say from my couch.

talking with some idiot who blames the Umpire for not letting the Cowboys spot the ball themselves rather than let the Umpire do it.
To be honest, I had to be educated on another thread about that. Just never focused on the fact that the ref has to spot the ball. That said, I don't get paid the big bucks to know all the rules.
The guy I was talking to was not unaware of the rule. He just kept saying the difference between the Cowboys spot and the Umpire spot was small so there was no need to do it and that the umpire following protocol was unfair to the Cowboys. The Umpire should have just accepted the Cowboys spot, touch the ball and clear out.
The problem was that he couldn't get to the ball because of players milling about right in front of him. So this excuse by Dak does not matter
Members here out of control and can't control their emotions?
I don't believe it.

It's a different kind of call, but yeah, it can certainly work if executed right.
It wasn't.
Dak, as you write, ran way too far then failed to give the ball a ref. He actually gave it to his center who proceeded to get into his stance.
Know the rules. Know the situation.
Dak failed on both.

Has it been confirmed that the call was from the sidelines? Or did Dak check off to a QB run? The confusion by the players at the Line of Scrimmage makes me think that Dak took off on his own, and the staff is covering up for him.
If that play was called in the huddle, you wouldn't have players asking Dak if he was going to spike the ball.
I hope they don't do anything stupid like firing McCarthy. As a Giant fan I think he's good right where he is.
Do you feel better now that you reminded us all something we all knew already?
Where were the players????
So now enjoy
Who used to send half their team to the Pro Bowl, every year, while the Super Bowl teams were busy practicing for their February date.
Bayless, whose reaction came in a series of tweets:
WHAT??????? THE UMPIRE KNOCKED DAK OVER. DAK WAS READY. THE UMPIRE WAS LATE!!! HE DID NOT DO HIS JOB QUICKLY ENOUGH. COWBOYS SHOULD’VE HAD ONE SHOT AT THE END ZONE FROM THE 20. DOABLE!!! JUST ABSURD.
I’ll be the first to admit the Cowboys didn’t deserve to win after committing 14 penalties. BUT THEY DID DESERVE THAT LAST SHOT TO PULL OFF THE MIRACLE. THE UMPIRE BLEW IT. THEY WERE ROBBED OF A SHOT AT YET ANOTHER COWBOYS-49ERS STUNNER. JUST MAKES ME BLEEPIN SICK.
IS IT THE COWBOYS’ FAULT THAT THE UMPIRE WASN’T CAPABLE OF KEEPING UP WITH THE PLAY? HE SHOULD’VE BEEN FOLLOWING DAK ON A DEAD SPRINT. IF HE HAD, HE WOULD’VE HAD TIME TO SET THE BALL BEFORE DAK’S SPIKE. INSTEAD, WE GOT SCREWED
Now, Smith, whose reaction came in the form of a video he posted on Twitter with the caption, “I TOLD Y’ALL!!!!!!!” The clip began with him laughing for 10 seconds:
“Didn’t I tell ya! Didn’t I tell ya! All year long, while everybody was raving those ‘Boys in Big D, what did your boy Stephen A. say? They ain’t even gonna win a playoff game! And sure enough, right on schedule, right when it really, really counted, they crashed like a cheap tent in inclement weather! All I got to say is two things: How ‘bout them Cowboys! See you on ‘First Take’ (Monday). Your boy is back. Right on time.”

Yeah we have several fans here who believe the refs screw the Giants out of wins all the time. It is usually the same posters week after week blaming every close loss on one or two calls that go against them and ignore the one or two that went in our favor.

He stated that they had practiced it all week to get the timing down. This was one of his arguments to point fingers at the Refs
I wonder whether he calculated how long the qb would run, exactly how much time they had snd advising the line to block the Umpire possibly assuming the Umpire could jump over the linemen rather than wasting time pushing them aside.
Yeah, he was full of shit. They probably talked about it and drew it up but to call that with only 14 seconds left was highly risky on its own, to then have your QB run 6 yards too many and forget to hand the ball to the Ref is inexcusable
I love the scooby doo analogy it’s perfect. Jerry jones playing the villain of course —-“those pesky kids”
“ Belichick would have lined them up for a 40 yard dash before the game and recorded their times.”
I pretty much agree. Go ahead and overreact Dallas. I hope they do just that. If they don’t do anything guess where they likely will be next year. Right back in the playoffs.
But this is a time for joy. Rejoice.
You hate to see it...
+1. I was shocked hearing Aikman annoint them as a dynasty early this year. This Cowboys team is/was no different than any of the others that fell way short. They always seem to have the same team. T.O. done? Bring in Dez Bryant and now CeeDee Lamb. Flozell, Gurode & Leonard Davis out? Smith, Frederick & Martin in. Romo's done? Dak's ready. Barber to Murray to Elliot at RB. Hell - even the scheme stays relatively the same.
It's the same explosive, pain in the ass team every year. And they fall way short every year, too. But for some reason Cowboys nation was smitten by this team. It's carbon copy.
This
Honestly, you can't go 1 and 4 against teams with at least 10 wins and expect to win the SB.
Yesterday's outcome was so predictable and delicious happening in AT&T Stadium.
Not sure that's as true as it used to be. The Giants looked pretty iffy and went in as a wildcard in both years they won the SuperBowl if memory serves me

What a stupid comment. Each official has official duties to watch things. I don’t think a duty is to follow a runner during the play in full sprint, while ignoring his assigned duties (watching for holding, etc.). The Umpire did come in full sprint after the play ended but was blocked by the offense line and had the nerve to push them aside to get to the ball as soon as possible. If Edwin Moses was the umpire, he would have sprinted faster and hurdled the line and got it done in tome.
I just rewatched the play. Dak starts his slide before the 25 (you can even see turf marks where he starts his slide if you look closely enough) and the center tried to spot it at the 23 1/2, about 2 yards forward. The umpires instinct is going to be to spot it correctly even if in a hurry, certainly if there is such a large discrepancy. You can't just let the center spot the ball where he feels like it, even if the NFL generally gives some leeway in these situations. Also, given the spot, a number of Cowboys were lined up in the neutral zone. One of the 49er defensive ends is clearly complaining about that to the refs before realizing that it didn't matter.
