I feel like this needed a thread. Does anyone actually still like him anymore?
That was one of the craziest endings I’ve seen in a long time and Tony Romo wouldn’t shut the hell up for 1 second to let the play speak for itself. He’s drawing Madden lines seconds before the ball is snapped on some of the biggest plays in each of these teams’ season.
If that was the Giants I don’t know how I possibly don’t lose my mind listening to that diarrhea of the mouthed asshole.
End of rant.
I know but you can’t mute the drawing of post routes right before the play is snapped lol
Better then listening to goons like moose Johnston every week like the lowly Giants get.
Feels like does one too many Adderall before gametime.
He never, and I mean never shuts up. Literally. No hyperbole. He never shuts up.
There are moments when he doesn't even let Nantz call the live unfolding play because he's still rambling on.
And even when not...talks too much.
But I like him better than Aikman by a lot. Maybe it’s also because Nantz is better than Buck, but I just like Romo’s style more than Aikman. Tony’s intelligence advantage more than makes up for his overtalking.
Collinsworth is a weird one for me. Sometimes I like him, sometimes I don’t. Both him and Michaels think their shit don’t stink. Smart guy but just such a douche. Romo is infinitely more likeable.
Also, Drew Brees was terrible this weekend.
Today with the drawing just before the snap, who in the fuck that was a good idea? I’m used to shitty announcers. What I’m not used to with Romo is how so many people think he’s some kind of terrific announcer.
He’s like a hyperactive kid running around the room being a douche bag and everyone is kooing and ohing and saying “oh he’s so cute”. Shut - the fuck - up!
All good stuff others dont do to nearly that level
(On the other hand he said during the play it would be OK and they'd clock it in time.)
He talks a lot, but they all talk a lot.
He OK overall. I've seen a lot worse. (Cringes at Booger McFarlane.)
Shut up

I think he’s fine, but typically I’m watching the game not hating on everyone and forming a stupid opinion on everything
Shut up
Na you’re weak
Yes. It was weird that an nfc playoff game is on cbs. That was weird.
I can live with it and I prefer Romo's exuberance to Aikman's dourness and disdain. We are Giants fans, so we are prone to be disgusted with all things pro-Cowboys. How many Cowboys fans despise the Mannings doing the alternate MNF broadcasts? (rhetorical question)
I get it. Romo does talk too much at times. I like the more muted style of the old time announcers - because that is how we are used to hearing a game(Madden used to talk a lot, too). But his analysis is fascinating, just like with Peyton Manning, hearing what he sees and how to attack it. Drawing the plays before the snap.
Yes, we as Giants fans can find Romo overbearing, but that is not how the rest of the NFL fans see it since he is CBS #1 analyst. As stated, there is always the volume and mute buttons.
He was also a bit over the top towards the end of the game, but I think he just got sucked up into all of the critical situations that were playing out. He doesn't mask his excitement well, but a lot of people find that to be an endearing trait in a color commentator. Jim Nantz, who always calls it straight, is a good pairing to balance that out.
Yeah, he obviously is bias to the cowboys.
Sucks having him or Aikman do those games.
Romo can be a bit much at times but his insight is really good and he brings a kid spirited excitement to the action that makes the games him and Nantz call stand out.
The part I don’t love is the sort of nonchalant stepping or razzing on Nantz and poking fun at certain broadcast situations like reading the ad or whatever.
He would not shut the f*ck up. In addition, Romo apparently thinks he's rather witty. He's not.
