Report: The #Giants are expected to fly out #Bills Joe Schoen, #Ravens Joe Hortiz, #Titans Monti Ossenfort, #Chiefs Ryan Poles, And #49ers Adam Peters for an in person meeting with Mara&Tisch
They are going to fly in 5 candidates? There isn’t enough time for this. Choose 3 finalists at much and hammer out a deal. With the Raiders job now open, things will move fast.

If it was any other franchise would you not be so sure that we are gonna get screwed out of the guy we want because we have to interview 45 people
A few months ago that we would completely clean house (GM/HC) and had this final list of GM candidates… I think we’d all tell you to fly a kite….we wouldn’t believe it.
Well, it’s happened and I for one am very happy we’re getting as close to a REAL reset as Mara ties allow. We gotta take the good with the bad, and I think we’re seeing a lot of good momentum. Let’s take a second and reflect…this is going like many of us have wanted since Coughlin/Reese days.
Damn good list of GM’s, and some real diversity in the candidates, I can’t say I’ll hate any of the choices, honestly. Peters, Schoen, and Hortiz are all really a tie for me. Pros and cons of each induvidual really nets zero between the 3.
All are damn fine candidates and hopefully take us back to prominence soon.
I have a hard time buying the elite tier of guys being interested in that job. I can't see Dodds, Peters, Hortiz, Schoen wanting that job with the job security and stability they have right now.
Raiders are the gold standard of flash with no substance. Plus if you take that job, your choices are to either keep a HC you didn't choose OR alienate the locker room by replacing him. I think the other 3 jobs are all more attractive personally.
From what I've read, Peters is intriguing. Question I have is which of these guys is best equipped to overhaul and modernize the Giants moribund scouting and personnel processes, deal with inevitable internal resistance, and what's a reasonable expectation for how long this will take.

I would think Hortiz. His mentor was one of the best ever in my opinion. Have to believe he has Ozzie in his favorites and still speaks with him. With a few tweaks to scouting, a great draft/off-season and some luck on the new jury front the can be significantly better next year.
I like almost everyone am hanging on every parcell of info.
Don’t know why, I don’t know anything about any of them except what I read here. Lol
I ll probably decide if I like the hire or not based on the opinions of posters whose opinions I value
You and everyone else Joe! It is hard to know with any of the candidates who haven't been GM's before. For me, it's the quality of the organization they're coming from - how they've historically drafted and handled FA. Do they show good scouting habits by hitting on mid- to late-round picks?
We've heard some great things about Joe Schoen, but is Buffalo's success due more to Sean McDermott and Josh Allen than anything else? If he's the hire, I'm fully on board, but I look at Hortiz and Ossenfort and see good organizations that have drafted well over the years, and have built rosters with young, cheap depth.

You can knock those out in 2 days
