how many Giants are starting for teams in the playoffs this year? At least 5 so far. you really have to hang on to your "average" players year to year to get good otherwise you are creating more holes than you can fill. DG created a LOT of holes, way more than can be filled next year. we have to be in the business of filling holes, not creating holes.

Well he's a headache for another team catching TD's in the playoffs while our offense is worst in the league

When we had him in the playoffs he went on a boat trip and proceeded to drop like 5 balls in the game. If he was on the Giants today they would still be at home watching as they were for most of the seasons he was with the Giants.

Barkley comes back from a torn CL and looks like he will be out of the league in a few years. And before you say "the OL", Barkley didn't have a good OL in 18 and 19 and dominated.

He’s so funny, blaming The Rocks pep talk, calling out his brothers hair looking like The Rock. And then saying what he misses from the game is the competition every day and running the two minute drill to win the game. The Giant ever!
I know you don't want to and screw up his confidence. It also might be too late at this point if the Rams score a TD again. But he is killing this team. He is lacking confidence, he's tentative, looks like a scared kitten out there right now.
Best thing Cards could do is run some RPO's to get him some confidence back

Nah. Gotta take his lumps and play and experience this. Remember Eli was his awful his first start too.
Different best. Remember Eli’s first one. Hope he can settle down. Never agree with all the great talk with some of these younger QB’s until they show it in the playoffs. That said, Murray is far from the only issue thus far.
Stay away from inside screens to start.
Run some keepers and RPO's because you have to get some kind of a running game going and hopefully they work and give Murray some confidence.
Eli played on a team that was barely above 500 when he played in a playoff game as what seed ? a wild card at like 9-7?
That is far different than a team that makes pea shooter colt McCoy look like an all star
Giants went 11-5, won the division and were playing at home. Get proceeded to get shut out at home.
Whatever he was almost a rookie then. Starting in week 11 the year before. Kyler is in his third full season where he played 16 games his previous two seasons
You guys have watched the NFL playoffs before, right?
Producer- do you follow football,? Kingsbury has been rumored to be in a bit of trouble and Murray regressing may be the nail in the coffin. Not saying it will, saying it could happen.
really disappointing. For all of the people that say the NFL is rigged, etc. (not talking about BBI) this proves it is not. They showcased this game out of all of the wild card matchups.
Shows you the difference between regular season and playoffs
Cardinals thrashed the Rams 37-20 in LA earlier in the season. Now with the playoff intensity ratched up they're getting thrashed
It’s kind of like the NBA now. Defenses tend to play harder in the playoffs. I think the Hopkins absence is being a little overblown. He wasn’t healthy all year and is not in his prime anymore at this stage.

Kingsbury in trouble? Rumored by who? Loudmouths on BBI? I'll take Kingsbury and Kyler. They're a young teem building something. Of course there will be ups and downs.
We have people here defending Daniel Jones but can't see Kyler is an excellent talent. I think you're the one that doesn't follow football.

Playoff intensity and speed of the game is always faster than the regular season. This was true when Parcells was coaching LT in the 80s
and I’m seeing it get killed a lot on social media tonight. You don’t need 7 teams and you don’t need Monday Night Football in the playoffs.
You especially don’t need the ESPN presentation of Monday Night Football which has mostly been a garbage production masquerading as a big deal for years now since Sunday Night Football became more important.
It hasn’t helped that these games have mostly been duds but now that it’s played out, I think the 17th game and the expanded playoffs are both failures.
Seeing this game on TV tonight didn’t scream big game at all. Felt exactly like a meaningless (to those on the East coast) mid season game that is easily a take it or leave it scenario.

All about money with Goodell. As many prime time games as possible. Players hate Thursday night football because of the short rest. Doesn’t care, keeps it going. Ruined the draft. Used to be fun getting buddies together to watch it all day on a Saturday. Now it spans two prime time evenings plus most of a Saturday.

I agree with all of that except for the new draft format. I like round 1 and 2 on their own days
Lmao at j_rud's observation on the Donald Stop Hate chokeout. That image, taking place in the midst of a complete laugher of an expanded playoff monday effing night game is a fitting depiction of the NFL right now.
Excited for Divisionals. Just 10 more minutes and all the chaff will be out of here.
Are good enough to have been in position for the # 1 seed 5 weeks ago. Murray has them looking like they haven’t practiced.
He’s not very good.
Kyler is 2nd in completion pct, 6th in QBR, 4th in Y/A..
But he had a bad half of football in his first playoff game and therfore he's not very good. But we need 5 years to evaluate Daniel Jones. [/s]
Ok Ok ‘not very good’ was too kind.
He sucks.
Lol, Producer gets very defensive about other teams QB’s.
I’m not a Murray fan. Too short, offensive scheme is not conducive to winning a championship.
No, Producer just wants to apply the same standard to all players. If Daniel Jones had reached those statistical milestones, for instance, instead of 23rd, 26th, and 22nd respectively, folks here would be fitting him for a gold jacket.
And in terms of the offensive scheme not winning, the Cards won 11 games. Do you prefer the *hard nosed* running and defense style the Giants played? Which was good for 4 wins?

That style will win you some regular season games. But once you hit the playoffs and defenses start playing harder you can’t win with that spread college offense. That’s why it took so long for it to reach the NFL.
If that was us playing tonight and Jones threw that horrible pick 6... You and a couple others would be losing your minds... lol
To be fair, I'd be disappointed but a proven track record of solid play would give me hope. Something Daniel Jones doesn't have. That's the point which you seem to not want to acknowledge.

So glad you have a crystal ball and know how the game of football will evolve in the future. Where did you stand on the west coast offense before the 49ers won 5 Super Bowls with it?
I don’t think any of us really like Jones. But many are fairly critiquing Murray. He looked like shit tonight and hasn’t won anything of significance in three years in the league. It’s ok to critique his play.

Sure. It was a bad game. But to say haunted, firing the coach, Murray sucks..
It's hyperbolic.
The Cards took an important step this season. I'm curious where they go from here.
he got embarrassed in his first ever playoff game and this is the point where he either proves he can take the next step (Super Bowl contention) or not

No, I acknowledge that. I do wonder where he'd be now if he stayed in Shurmur's offense, though. And if we actually addressed the OL. Meh. It doesn't matter now, I don't really care anymore. I'll still root for him though as long as he is a Giant. Hopefully we pick the right GM.

I hope so too. I want us to have some postseason fun.
Do you wonder where Henson would be if he beat Brady out of starting job at Michigan or stayed with Football instead of playing for the Yankees?
Shumur got fired from here because he wasn't a good coach he lost a ton of games and a lot of that was due to Jones propensity to turn the ball over.
Dude, gimme a break. He was pretty good in Shurmur's offense, obviously minus the fumbles, which is the only way he got better under Judge/Garret. He regressed in every other aspect of QB'ing. I'm not saying I wanted to keep Shurmur... lol. But our offense went to shit under Judge and Garrett. And Kitchens.

Ok then who Glennons oc when he was a rookie nine years ago? Let’s bring him in since Glennon was good back then too and intervening years don’t count and Glennon int s don’t count either. We just get to cherry pick the good and ignite the bad and project onto the future about how it could be
RE: Aaron Donald choking someone while wearing a Stop Hate helmet
but their faltering down the stretch has now become problematic. Teams are adapting to their offense and they can't overcome injuries like the other top teams can. I think he gets one more season and they will load up on offense in the offseason.
some even wanting to move on from him since they doubt he's a franchise QB. Just goes to show you, unless your QB is Rogers or Brady, a bad game will cause fans to debate about whether or not the current QB is "the guy" regardless of talent.
Many want the GM and HC to be fired after this game. We wanted our HC and GM to be fired after this disaster season yet there is this fanbase with no historical success making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years and after a bad game want to blow it all up lol
- Cards have faltered late, yeah, but it took ESPN and the broadcast crew until deep into Q3 to show their record with and w/o D'Andre? I could have missed an early reference, but the difference is dramatic
- Speaking of the broadcast crew, on a different thread I agreed w/ another poster about their negatives: modifying that--it's Steve Levy who really turns my stomach
- Dontae Deayon when he was with the Giants last season (?), was it 2019?--his AA jumped out at you, his quickness, twitchiness--and he lacked experience. He is small, for sure, but he showed last night there is a place for him on an NFL roster
- Cam Akers, man he was impressive; I don't know how he squirted through so many holes that looked non-existent as a TV viewer
- Rams do seem to have coverage issues on medium/crossing routes over the middle. Not sure how much further they go, but their pass rush is going to give Brady fits
- Murray had a bad night up until it didn't matter any more, too bad. That desperation get rid of the ball to avoid a safety was positively Giants like
The fact Colt McCoy looks like an all star on that team despite playing here --and admittedly had some great clutch throws-- was replaced by Glennon . He hardly threw for 100 yards in his start where he upset Seattle. You add that up and it indicates to me there is something seriously wrong with him.
Promote the manningcast right before kickoff
Wishing for a great game!
Kyle Murray 25+ yards rushing
Matthew Stafford 225 yards passing
Ertz gets a TD
Odell Beckham gets a TD.
$10 wins me $111 with FanDual

Looking forward to hearing Larry Fitz on the game.

Pugh has already missed two blocks.

Let's actually discuss what the thread was made for please
The Rams are definitely in his head. He's playing scared and is completely overmatched.
Well deserved
And as always Eli displays class while hinting at how much he hated it

And the Patriots should fire Belichick
THIS SHOULD NOT STAND!
That was horrible
Lol. Imagine had Jones done that.
That was ridic.
He looks absolutely lost tonight.
+1
Oh idiot was thinking about retirement.

Best thing Cards could do is run some RPO's to get him some confidence back

Nah. Gotta take his lumps and play and experience this. Remember Eli was his awful his first start too.
LOL!
I don't think Kingsbury is some exceptional coach, but if he did get fired, he would most likely be the best coach on the market.
That was ridic.
If the Giants played any of these teams they'd run circles around them.
Remember the Giants couldn't even get positive passing yards in a game.
That is far different than a team that makes pea shooter colt McCoy look like an all star
Stay away from inside screens to start.
Run some keepers and RPO's because you have to get some kind of a running game going and hopefully they work and give Murray some confidence.
That is far different than a team that makes pea shooter colt McCoy look like an all star
Giants went 11-5 during Eli's first playoff season. Had Jay Feeley made one field goal out of three, they would have had a bye that year.

Dude if you want to come in strong at least be correct. Thanks

Giants went 11-5, won the division and were playing at home. Get proceeded to get shut out at home.

Yup, and who knows what happens. I doubt they beat Seattle if they move on but you never know.
Fire Kingsbury?
You guys have watched the NFL playoffs before, right?

Whatever he was almost a rookie then. Starting in week 11 the year before. Kyler is in his third full season where he played 16 games his previous two seasons
If the Cardinals don't want him, we'll take him.

That Giants team was a wreck of injuries. The record is one thing, you have to look at the lineup that played in that game.

I am trying to figure out where the bridge is this troll lives under because he writes in a very peculiar manner.
Fire Kingsbury?
You guys have watched the NFL playoffs before, right?
Producer- do you follow football,? Kingsbury has been rumored to be in a bit of trouble and Murray regressing may be the nail in the coffin. Not saying it will, saying it could happen.
Umm josh Allen?
Yeah for sure. Man does Kyler look a mess though. Surprising.
Cardinals thrashed the Rams 37-20 in LA earlier in the season. Now with the playoff intensity ratched up they're getting thrashed
Finally

shit the bead except for Burrow in these playoffs. He's a different breed

This is Allen's 5th playoff game. I don't think he's being counted as a young guy.
This is Kyler's first.

Hahahahahaha
He went stiff like he caught one on the jaw
He’s not very good.
He’s not very good.
Kyler is 2nd in completion pct, 6th in QBR, 4th in Y/A..
But he had a bad half of football in his first playoff game and therfore he's not very good. But we need 5 years to evaluate Daniel Jones. [/s]

I agree with all of that except for the new draft format. I like round 1 and 2 on their own days

Lol, Producer gets very defensive about other teams QB’s.
I’m not a Murray fan. Too short, offensive scheme is not conducive to winning a championship.

And a OT and 2 guards and a couple TEs and a DT and an EDGE rusher and an ILB and a safety

That style will win you some regular season games. But once you hit the playoffs and defenses start playing harder you can’t win with that spread college offense. That’s why it took so long for it to reach the NFL.

They have the type of defense that can do some damage. They are a big play defense with some big pash rushers and a shutdown corner.

I was told last night and today that Murray was much better than Dak. How did that manifest itself tonight? ;)
Sure. It was a bad game. But to say haunted, firing the coach, Murray sucks..
It's hyperbolic.
The Cards took an important step this season. I'm curious where they go from here.

Other JAGs that BBI seems to pump up and elevate Blake Martinz Nick Gates.

Excuse my ass I got the 2006 season confused with the 2005 one ; it has only been 17 years ago.
The point is made that Eli was playing in his first ever full NFL season ; that is different than Kyler playing in 3 full seasons.

Yeah, wow. That is incredibly damning.
Many want the GM and HC to be fired after this game. We wanted our HC and GM to be fired after this disaster season yet there is this fanbase with no historical success making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years and after a bad game want to blow it all up lol
