Every organization has a credo, a mantra if you will. For example, the Raiders’s “Commitment to Excellence”.
Today, it is being reported the Giants will give the new GM carte blanche to remake the team.
Could it be possible prophetic utterance by Judge’s penultimate from the post game presser “ This is not a clown show…” becomes part of lore that brought about the resurrection of the franchise?
NAH!!!
;-)
probably yes.
If you mean catalyst, I would say it is more likely the record for the past 10 years

lol, so true
It was a huge moment as Judge had a cataclysmic meltdown at the podium in the next to last game of the season, throwing everyone else under the bus in embarrassing fashion while proclaiming this was not a “clown show”.
FO realized any decent new GM coukd bit be associated with this coach.
"We will no longer amuse you!"
Yup.
But I did them a fucking favor.
Do your job.

Eric shouldn't expect a card from the Mara's next Christmas.

The cards probably suck anyway.

Well played lol. But there is something to be said for BBI lore. From the Legend of Jonas Seawright and Tommer's no jewlz to BavaroFan's pee stain and How Deep is Your Love this place has its own mythology.

That was the Patriots 2018 slogan (do your job)

You’re not going to get a free Pepsi with that attitude
We can start a GoFundMe!

I wish someone would pay me $15M to go away.

Shouldn't that be a GoAwayMe fund?
Stole my thunder was gonna say the same thing. One can only hope!

Do you mean BBI posters will claim it as fact, and base further supposition upon that "fact"?
probably yes.

You can't forget flounder's blubbering meltdown in the lore...
Do you take personal checks?

Or the fact that German means its a dupe or the Shockey trade with the Saints turning from a 5 rounder to a 2nd if the saints win the superbowl when mercury is in retrograde....I am cloudy about how German became German other than a thread that referenced Animal House.
The card would have the Pepsi logo on the back instead of Hallmark

Agree... it is not like the guy was not truly trying to win here. He made his mistakes but was also saddled with a shitty situation here. A shitty GM and a QB that was forced upon him.

No reason to keep kicking the guy.

Me too! The tax bite on that $15M is gonna be murder!
Eddie Murphy was because there is a scene in coming to America where he hilariously explains how the Giants beat the Packers with a last-minute field goal. After we beat the Packers in the playoffs during the '07-'08 run in the same fashion, it was reposted dozens of times and thus became a running joke.
I feel bad for him tbh. We all have those moments in life. Judge had has emotional breakdown in public without the benefit of results. He was done after that post game interview. Everyone will spin it to make it gracious and that it a good thing.
There are things I like about Judge. I am glad John Mara acknowledged that in his statement. I hope JJ takes it to heart.

It took you that long!? That's like rooting for the Christians in the Roman Coliseum after the lion eats them...
I'd be shocked if he ever gets another HC shot in the NFL. It is one thing to be fired; it is another to become a national joke, which he did those last few weeks.
Right.
The burn to the ego might be pretty severe though. Someone must really not want you around to pay that much. But sleeping on piles of money should help.
Although not sure why the BBI revolutionaries waited so long to act.
I don't feel bad for him at all.
The guy quit on his team in the last 2 games.
He liked to say in his pressers that he wasn't in the excuse business and then proceeded to come up with a myriad of excuses (Gettleman, Garrett, Shumer, headsets, etc.) I'm not saying those situations didn't contribute to the shitty record but if you say you're not going to make excuses, then don't make excuses.
My personal favorite, Judge whining about the bad situation he inherited when he was hired. News flash Joe, most new head coaches don't come into situations where everything is just peachy.
