I have to say I'm really excited about this offseason, more so than in recent years. I have a pretty good feeling Schoen will get hired as GM and has done some good work within the draft. Also excited about the Giants getting things turned around internally ( hopefully anyway ) and the hiring of a new coach.
I like the idea of cleaning house and starting new. We have a lot of draft capital and we're going to have to purge some big names and money but that sets up for 2023. If they draft reasonably well and bring in a HC that can get some decent assistants, we could get this thing turned around in the next 2 to 3 years possibly. Personally, I do like the idea of bringing in a veteran HC like a Quinn or Pederson better than someone with no HC'ing experience but I'll be happy with whichever direction they take.
I feel like with the right people in place, making the drastic changes the organization needs, it should set us up for a long time.
I have to go through the stages. It's been an ordeal.
Agreed.....by no means is any of this over until the Giants have a good team again.
Same and I'll add that I'm wary off the people making the decisions. A while back we had something that worked with Coughlin and Reese. Something changed there and our decision makers at the higher levels don't know what it was or how to fix it and still don't it seems. I hope whomever they choose has success, but seeing as how the last few years and changes have gone, I'm reluctant to get excited.
