all 3 potential GMs had Quinn and Flores on their list of HCs they would be interested in? Otherwise it seems weird that they’re scheduling interviews before anything is finalized.
and led them to consecutive winning seasons, with a less-than-stellar roster. I don't know anything about the behind-the-scenes stuff that got him canned. But based solely on the product he put on the filed with the talent available, I'd want to talk to him.
to as many candidates as possible. Flores did a good job in Miami. I don't have an issue with him running assistants out of town. If those assistants are not performing get them out. Bill Belichick is the same way when it comes to assistants and players. Regardless how he behaved around the players in the end he got them going 7-1 down the stretch. So the players didn't have too much of a problem with him.
People talk about "culture", well many of the stories coming out reminds me about Judge, hardass, know it all, problems with coaches. I think we simply need a guy who can bring stability, respect but a sense of comfort if that makes sense. Someone the players love playing for and everyone has no problem working with.
The teams consistently doing well have the QB and HC who is an expert on the offensive side of the ball.
Hell, the entire NFC does. The final four: Rams, Green Bay, Tampa, 49ers. Even the losing teams from wild card weekend: Dallas & Arizona and Philly.
We should follow this trend.
So, I have no interest in Flores. Something just seems off about him.
Sean McDermott is a defensive minded head coach and the Bills are a strong team.
We’ve had two offensive minded head coaches in the last decade and both failed the team.
It’s more important that the head coach is a leader and the most important aspect is that they hire good coordinators. I mean Bettcher really screwed over Shurmur’s chances here in NY. His defense was absolutely abysmal.

True on McDermott. Vrabel is D, too. But Reid/KC, Taylor/Bengs offensive guys.
We just picked the wrong coaches in the past. That should not preclude us from looking at offensive minded coaches going forward.
However, I do agree hiring the right coordinators and staff is vital.
HOWEVER! In an ultra alpha competitive league such as the NFL; above average to good Head Coaches are highly sought after. Hence the reports of several teams being interested in Flores. My concern is; if Flores is an above average coach; and we have already established how valuable a commodity that is for any team in the NFL; why in the sun moon and stars did Miami get rid of him. That to me is a HUGE red flag.
RE: Guy seems to have done a great job at a glance.

Ownership can make crazy decisions sometimes, they aren't always the smartest group of people as we have come to know.
Really dont get the love affair with Flores.

Well if it was deleted how would I know?

Just another tough guy from the BB tree that has won absolutely nothing. Yet, walks around like his shit doesn’t stink.
I was deleted because it said Flores was going to be hired
