Justifiably, the owners have been ridiculed, mocked for their lack of football acumen, and have been taken over the coals by a very passionate fan base.

This feels different than years past with the hire of Joe Schoen and lets hope it's the start of a new era in Giants football.

To the owners credit they conducted an extensive search and have hired a candidate we can all get behind.

I know it's only a start but it's the first time in a long while that I have real hope that we can get this turned around. Now, let's go out and get a real coach!
I Agree

It appears for their GM search they weren’t clowning around.

seen. Lets see what gets changed
they should credit every season ticket holder for the past 4 years of gettleman. How can they look at themselves for that sham of a process back then
And after getting the coach,

But they still have to have gotten it right. Thank you threads are a little premature.
They were just doing what they are supposed to do

Now lets see if this guy is the right guy or another bust. I'm keeping the jury out this time until I start seeing some results

Agree. Seems like the right guy. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Let's see how he does.

Oddly, I think if he's really doing what needs to be done, next season could be a true bottoming out. So many things need to be revamped/rebuilt, it's going to take some time to really see the results. There's going to be a "trust the process" period. Maybe a couple of years. I mean, there have been issues with everything from cap management to scouting to coaching staff to training/medical to grounds/turf to concessions in the stadium. Not to mention disastrous PR like the Pepsi thing. This is going to be like turning an oil tanker. He's going to have to lean on the wheel for a looooooooooonnnnngggg time.

And this is the first time an outside GM has been hired since George Young. Let's hope the nepotism is a thing of the past. Yeah, I get that we need to see results before heaping praise but I feel a lot better today than a few weeks ago.
