The #Panthers are expected to hire former #Giants HC and ex-#Packers OC Ben McAdoo as their offensive coordinator, sources say. They need to work out the contract, but there aren’t expected to be issues. McAdoo is back as an OC, where he initially rose to prominence. |
My guess is Judge is least likely. Those two weird press conferences probably sealed his fate along with the his new innovative QB sneak offense.
If so, watch your back Sam Darnold & Cam Newton.
Happy for your dad. He was still awful.
Or purposely run a horrific offense so the defense can carry them… lol.

Couldn't disagree with you more. I think Judge will be a good coach one day.

Giants offense was good when he was OC

Neither of them will, but i actually feel opposite. Judge is young enough and still has the backing of BB/Saban/etc which still means something, particularly to desperate franchises, so I think he would be the MOST likely.
Shurmur/Mac were always destined to be coordinators.
This was the good Ben McAdoo.
Slicked hair, sunglasses McAdoo was the downfall.
Coughlin reined him in just right. He was abysmal in 2016 and 2017.

McAdoo has been out of the Giants for long enough that people may forget how bad 2017 turned out. He can still claim that his offense put up points with Eli and OBJ when he was OC. Just not as HC.
Judge needs to find a HC job in college ranks and take time to learn how to be a HC without Bellicheck or Saban standing over his shoulder. He was not ready for Giants job and should have gone to Miss St.
His final season crash was epic. Handley wasn't that bad.
Nothing remotely resembling Eli or Odell there, but let’s see if it works.

And coughlin was control of the offense.
What would make a team thing he is the answer at OC is beyond me.
That said I wish him the best.

How did the offense look when he was the head man? Guess we will see, I wish him well, but it boggles the mind a team would look to him a the answer.
In the interim, time to bring that old Sy Syms suit out of mothballs Ben. Good luck.

The only QBs with more TD passes than Eli in McAdoo’s 2 seasons as OC were Brady and Rodgers.

How did the offense look the year before McAdoo took over from Gilbride? Eli was throwing interceptions left and right.
People forget he used 11 personnel 92% of the goddamn time?

Different system and at least he had Odell. Gilbride had a downfield attack and Eli's receivers stunk sans Cruz. With a bad line and that situation, it was bound to occur. Blame Reese and the scouting department for whiffing on building a decent line.

shhhhhhh there are excuses for 13. it was toms in 14/15. 16 was a Free agency fluke where spags carried him. only 2017 is his... and because of that he is terrible and NOBODY WILL EVER HIRE HIM AGAIN
Took a long time though. 4 years before someone put him in a coordinator position.
We crediting Ben for the defense going lights out? Brilliant.
Worst bar mitzvah photo ever!
He said something about how he was so focused on scheming to get Odell the ball he realized he fell short in areas like relating to the players

Your whole “Judge is worse than Handley” routine is getting silly. You are old enough to remember the players that were still on that team, and the team that reeves took to the playoffs the year after he left.
Instead we followed up by hiring Gettleman and another stat inflating loser in Shurmur.

I’m glad someone else said this. I’m tired of doing so at this point.
