Jerry knows he can't keep this team together and you only get so many chances in this league. I think he can control himself for a year or two. What Jerry needs is someone to come in and raise expectations and performance come playoff time.

& didn't seem too enthralled with Dallas' coaching. That said, The Athletic beat for Dallas-whatever his name is-said he still thinks McCarthy is retained & that Jones was just spouting off publicly, as is wont.

The guy was also speculating that-presuming Quinn leaves-Zimmer would get consideration for DC job. Zimmer coached in Dallas when Parcells was there.
