Outstanding video

Really had some outstanding influences in his life. Mara probably just sent it to Schoen!

Seems like the right guy at the right time to lead the New York Football Giants.
I didn't learn a single thing about him in that video
Mike from Ohio : 1/21/2022 4:29 pm : link
that tells me about his coaching ability, but he sure seems like a guy who would be a leader of men.

I hope he gets an interview and sort of now pulling for him to get the job.
Beautiful!

He wants this job - coming home.
What a great story and what a great example to people of NY and NJ if this man could lead the Giants to top of the NFL mountain.

My top choice
Well...

... that just knocked Flores up a few pegs for me. And based on what he's done in Miami the past couple of years... I wouldn't be sad if it works out here.
He’s been my choice

ever since Miami let him go
Give me Flores over Daboll 100 times

Flores strikes the right balance between a guy who is not a first timer but not a true retread. I feel like he has experience to build off of and can I’m hit the ground running here.

Hortiz with Harbaugh was my #1 choice. Schoen with Flores was my #1a.
Flores is the guy for me

although some of the stuff in Miami is concerning. What I like about him is, it appears that he has a clear idea of what it takes to win and is not afraid of making changes in order to achieve that. Tua was a high draft pick. We all know, including Flores that he is not good enough to win a SB. He is not going to wait around, he wants to improve the most important position in sports. I respect his conviction.
Why did Miami

Cut him?
I haven't watched the video yet

people seem to have strong opinions on him. There are rumors people around the Dolphins didn't like him and that he was so hard on his assistants he could keep or build a good staff. Who is going to be his OC? For what it's worth I think he was right on Tua.
Wow...It also makes me understand how he let Graham

"come home" to New York. Roots. And I can understand why Flores seems to have Giants at the top of his list.

I could be wrong but I read that he didn’t like Tua as the starting QB, and the GM and ownership felt differently.
didn't realize he grew up in Brownsville and played at Poly Prep -
Del Shofner : 1/21/2022 6:45 pm : link
elevates him in my eyes. He grew up a Giants (and Yankees) fan and played his college ball at BC - lol. His head coaching record is sure up and down though. But I'm in if he's the choice.
All NFL HCs have to be impressive men
gersh : 1/21/2022 6:58 pm : link
But there is certainly something tangible about Flores. He is clearly built to be a leader of men.
One could certainly see the benefit of having a HC who reminds many of his players of themselves or their family. However, Flores is so extraordinary in his story that I’m not sure how he would relate to any player who didn’t give supreme effort. I’m sure he is hardest on himself but would be very tough on his players for sure. If he got the right guys- he could field a monster team.
That was nice.

Probably
Mook80 : 1/21/2022 7:19 pm : link
a decent guy but too many red flags with him to ignore. Goes through assistants at an alarming rate, particularly OC's. And while the Dolphins roster wasn't good, people are acting like he had them finishing 12-5 rather than .500 each year or worse.

I want nothing to do with another Belichick assistant who has red flags to start.
good one too

Refreshing isn't it?
I like him ...

If he was too demanding for the Dolphin's taste, their loss. He fought his way to the top; there's nothing like being poor and growing up in a tough environment. You can't explain it to someone who hasn't lived it - it's an advantage.

He comes across as a very decent person. Football-wise I though he did a good job at the Dolphins. He was severely undermanned, and squeezed everything out of what he had.

There's more "shiny" toys here. I think he & the new GM understand the task at hand - Get to work hard on building dominant Offensive & defensive lines.
