Bills GM Brandon Beane said Joe Schoen is a "great evaluator, great communicator." He's a great leader. He knows how to relate to people. He's a family guy. "You don't replace people like that right away."

Brandon Beane said Joe Schoen is a "very intelligent person." He's also a good listener. He's not going to walk into the office like he has all the answers. He let Schoen be involved in everything.

Brandon Beane said he hasn't discussed any potential staff that Joe Schoen might bring to the Giants. He said you never want to lose anyone, but it's a good problem to have.

Brandon Beane recounts Joe Schoen was a huge part of the process of scouting and draft Bills QB Josh Allen. Schoen was the one who arranged every QB visit for that draft, bonded with Allen. Was in room when decision was made. Opinion was heard & "valued." And Allen was the pick
Dan Salomone

Brandon Beane said Joe Schoen started as a "grunt scout." He was a quick riser because people trusted his evaluation. "You could tell that he had what it takes."

Another biggie: QB evaluation. Something this franchise has been horrendous at since Eli.
Yes, but can he fix this mess of a team we all root for?

And surely he won't tell a lie and hurt us, either?
Right. And EVERYONE here literally said the Giants had no money for FA last season. So excuse me while I don't take the daily doom and gloom here too seriously.
And I didn't say it doesn't exist, I said people worry way too much about it especially since most don't know wtf they are even talking about.
I don't want to spend a lot in FA this year. I just don't want to hear people write off a season because of cap space, 8 months before the season even begins.

Ha ha, we just got Rick rolled!
Ah, did the F.O not choose your "guy" for GM? Poor baby, I am pretty confident that JS is going to find ways to create a little cap space to bring in some OL players to help rebuild the OL so all the BBI draft gurus can off their horses and scream from the mountain tops that we need to draft 3 OL with our first 3 picks!

Did he want to draft him or not?

Lol my first thought too
Carpenter has been wrong about everything. Why do people still read that fake?
No, I’m happy we signed him, just an obvious takeaway for those able to read.
Though, if you wanted him I’m going to have to question that.
I would argue that Josh Allen, for all his talent, could have ended up much differently in another system/team.
Choosing to draft him wasn’t the genius. Developing him was.
That’s fine with me I want to focus on draft and undrafted FA anyway. We ain’t winning shit without draft day HRs. Focus on that and player development for now.
