While it is great to have a new GM, but what made him a great candidate and the other two top candidates were that they were the go to people or part of a few go to people for the GM.
The GM has to build a front office team, a scounting team and of course the head coach.
It will be interesting to see the team he builds and if their are any major changes, but most of all who is Schoens’s Schoen?
What are the Giants doing with Abrahams?
Dennis Lock (Director of Football Research) came with Schoen from Miami and could be the head of analytics around here.
Hopefully the answer isn't the current cronies.

Really hard to dot-connect on front office hires. But wonder if Ryan Cowden, who interviewed for the Giants GM job, would be interested in joining Schoen in New York. Would assistant GM be a step up from his role with the Titans? Schoen and Cowden started together in Carolina
Wouldn’t this create tension between one guy who got the job over another one. It’s not best idea.
Love it Jimmy!
I would too from what I read but how would the GM like having someone who was competing for his job? How would that dynamic work. Also, if Poles is as promising as everyone says he many only be a 1 year rental which may not be great either.
This. His results are terrible. And it’s long past time for the Giants to value performance over loyalty.
