I’ve had rams Buffalo since the beginning of the season. Wasn’t looking to great during the year but both showed out last week hopefully both do again tomorrow
Like you're taking candy from a baby and then do squat for the rest of the game?
How do you not get fired up for the chance in a huge playoff game to take your team down the field with all its excellent weapons with four minutes left and win this game? Not only don't take them down the field but instead, go three and out and then lose to a team with a QB that has virtually handed you the game on multiple plays with his idiotic decisions?
Are going have a field day after tonight. I live in the Milwaukee area. Local station has Gary Ellerson, Leroy Butler, and Gilbert Brown as commentators and they will be slicing the Packers and Rodgers after this.
Agree. Fuck the niners. One of my most hated teams outside of the division.
Yup, hated them my entire life, since I was five years old.
Niners have always been one of my most hated teams as well...well, at least since the 80's...but I gotta say, if I can ignore the uniform that they are wearing, I really kinda like this team. I like Samuel, I like Kittle, I like the way they are playing in general. This game in particular brought back memories of the 2007 Giants...the weather, the Packers, the GWFG....by an ex Giant no less.....
(this post is about the earlier game but this seems like the more active thread.)
This post is long but I’ll be honest the The Titans game stung pretty bad for me as I have lived in Nashville for nearly 15 years, I couldn’t help but adopt the Titans as a 2nd team, especially they’ve grown on me the last few years because the team has just been so gritty since Vrabel took over— I watch them every week and they’re honestly they’re just fun to root for— a breath of fresh air compared to what the Giants have been trotting out there the last 10 years.
They play hard to the end like no other team I see currently— unfortunately their lack of top-tier talent at QB damned them today. Burrow meanwhile is only in his 2nd year and holy shit is he the real deal. Just walking in lot the NFL winning his 1st 2 playoff games, winning Cinci they’re 1st road playoff game ever? Jesus. Literally: the guy may be the Jesus of Ohio football lol. All of this after tearing his ACL his rookie year and having an absolutely awful o-line — against a ferocious pass rush today. Astonishing he got that W.
Now— back on the Titans… I’ll admit: I have REALLY BELIEVED in Tannehill. You go look at his stats with the Titans he’s actually been phenomenal both statistically *and* W/L record— IMO the most underrated QB in the league. He’s also got a toughness and competitiveness to him that matches Vrabel & the team well. Unfortunately today he did not show that and instead I think have made a lot of his doubters feel pretty confident that they’re right: that he’s just not a special player. Honestly: that was just really bad game by him. Ugh. 3 picks and you take away any one of those and Titans likely win the game. Also— Have no idea why they would run Tannehill on fucking 3rd and 1 instead of Henry, not like the guy is Lamar Jackson… then Bengals KNEW Henry was getting it on 4th and 1.
Just sucks. Was not expecting I’d feel this shitty after a non-Giants loss. Just goes to show how much they’ve grown on me— will NEVER quite be the Giants for me no matter what, but still: man just sucks.
Credit the Bengals though. They played their asses off and against what looked like the flat out better team in the Titans the entire game (besides the QB) but the Bengals made the exact plays they needed to make at the exact times they needed to be made. The Titans did some of that as well (as they did all year winning tight games), but not as much as the Bengals did today.
Anyway— I’m not on any “two-tone-blue-interactive” lol so just had to vent a bit here— I guess that also just goes to show how much more important the Giants are and always will be to me anyway. Even having posted this I feel better already and will probably be over it by Monday haha.
The Packers specials were the difference. Maurice Drayton is getting fired as the Spec Coord.
ST determined this game.
But I thought both QBs played like crap.
I'll say most of that was weather. JimG, however, got ZERO help in the first half from his receivers.
LOL, now you’re making excuses for jimmy? He sucks. He’s got the best TE in the game, a fantastic running game and Deebo. Not to mention the best LT. And he still manages to do dick.
Oh wait!sorry there was actually a reason I posted this in this thread
This outcome today is not at all what anybody expected in terms of BOTH 1 seeds losing. I think everyone thought an upset was possible in both games but amazing it actually happened in BOTH.
HERE IS MY QUESTION:
With the way shit just played out today between Tannehill choking badly, Rodgers being let down by the team’s last place special teams (literally 9ers won this game on special teams ALONE), and let’s also consider Vrabel got this team the 1-seed with no Henry and with a mid-tier starter in Tanny… . Guys: is this not a perfect storm for Tennessee to suddenly be in the Rodgers 2022 sweepstakes?? Not saying it will def happen, do they enter the conversation?
Think about it: Rodgers goes to Tennessee and they’re immediately in the conversation for best super odds next year. Derrick Henry isn’t getting younger: Titans super bowl window is NOW. Have to imagine Rodgers would love to play for Vrabel. Have to imagine he’d love sliding right into that offense too, and hey who knows maybe he could get Adams to come along with him (I get the feeling Adams and Rodgers come as a package deal next year anyway).
Idk— maybe this is way off base but wondering what y’all thought: have t heard Titans in the Rodgers 2022 discussion so just wondering if they at least enter the chat so to speak haha.

Yeah I don’t think there’s ever been a playoff game where you could argue special teams was more of a determining factor. It had everything and all went the 9ers way: blocked punt TD, blocked chip shot FG, walk off 45 yard FG in the goddamn snow at Lambeau where the holder had to catch a high snap and get it down? Wasn’t Tynes’ 47 yarder the longest ever at Lambeau in a playoff game at the time? And as cold as that game was Gould still had to do it in the snow. All of that and the final score was 13-10. Without those 3 clutch/pivotal plays you’re looking at a 13-3 Packers win.
So Yeah no reason the Packers ever should’ve lost this game. Rodgers did exactly what he needed to do (pretty much) to get a 1-score-margin victory in tough conditions against a physical football team. That 9ers offense was not going to score a TD. Their best shot was nullified by that facemask penalty but other than that the Packers were just too stingy on that end of the field. A blocked punt for a TD in a game that ended up being 13-10 was an absolute KILLER. Reminds me of Charles Woodson returning that punt for a TD in the ‘97 Mich OSU game.. except that game actually had more points scored AND Woodson returning a punt is 100x more excusable than a blocked punt inside you’re own 10 lol. Combine that with a blocked FG (also inexcusable) … thats 10 points right there in a 13-10 game? Absolutely just brutal for the Packers.

Jimmy G is a farce. He's a Qb you expect to at least one time a game at the worse possible moment will make an obvious brain-dead decision that will result in the other team getting the ball. He throws floaters and really has to be the luckiest QB when it comes to balls that should be intercepted but don't.
Weird game. Would be funny to see Rodgers win a Super Bowl after all the hubbub going on this year. Oh well. You can't have all of the seasons in one week and all of the candy that makes everything sweet.
Like that one bad once said "roam if you want to, without wings, without wheels"
Possible Rams/49ers NFC championship game? BORING. I may not even watch that one. I actually requested off for conference Sunday on 1/30. Hope it gets rejected by the Pro-daddy.
Yes, I think the Titans will make a QB move either in a trade (most likely) or a big move in the draft.
Vrabel needs to get the team further. The Not For Long applies here.
Rodgers is a great QB but some QB's have shown to be better wired for the playoffs. Its why I disagree with the stat focused posters. Ernie nailed Eli in his scouting report and it played out true. There is a big difference in regular season HC's and QB's and playoff ones.
I feel similarly.
Although the way the 49er fans traveled to that last game of the year to LA - a must win - I think the 49ers are very comfortable in that scene.
It’s starting to become the desired path in the NFC.

Well that and JerryWorld…
Suck it Aaron.
Don’t have to worry about boycotting the SB now.

And Rodgers comes up extremely small. He may still pull this out but that was his opportunity to show once and for all he is the man.
Sorry but a really amateur take
Please, explain to all of us how so???
I really need to know your "Pro take" is
Is your "PRO TAKE coming anytime soon????

in all seriousness - not a bad idea on either side
BUT... and I know I may have an unreasonable standard here... Championship QB's make plays in all conditions.
I referenced it above. Eli was magnificent in the 2007 playoff game in Green Bay. Drive after drive.

Yup, hated them my entire life, since I was five years old.
The niners defense and special teams carried the corpse of their offense across the finish line, with the exception of Debo Samuel who is a player.

Aikman’s good when he’s not calling a Cowboys game.
I want an AFC team to win the SB. Hopefully the Bills.

So similar that he may finish his career in the Broncos as well.
