Aaron Rodgers Legacy

GNewGiants : 1/22/2022 11:09 pm
IMO, it takes a massive hit. Another playoff loss at home as a favorite.

I think the break up happens this off-season.

But the MVP voting would look a different after this game.

I can’t believe how small he came in this game. Horrible loss for him.

Not exactly sure how someone says he can't win in the tournament when he actually has won in the tournament.

He has no doubt had some really tough losses in the playoffs but let's not act like he's Dan Marino who never won one.

This was probably the worst loss of his career though. They did nothing offensively after the first drive. A lot of other playoff losses for him the defense came up really small too.

The Packers were never losing that game if not for that punt block. Jimmy G had as much chance to get them in the endzone as I did sitting on my couch.

I don't think he leaves. The animosity between him and the organization is largely gone and they arent trading him unless they get a kings ransom. They'll go after it one more time next year

230 yards passing to his only two receivers

The third string TE dropped a 40 yard catch. His line couldn’t block to save their lives. Show me tape where Lazard Cobb or st brown got open once.

He’s arrogant and most here hate his politics so i get the hate.

But maybe if the packers had drafted a receiver for him to compliment Adams instead of drafting Love things would be different this time of year.

People can’t stop blowing Burrow - how does chase Higgins Boyd mixon and uzameh compare to the trash Rodgers threw to tonight?
He’s similar to Peyton

Except Peyton was even worse in the playoffs. His legacy will be fine.

It does hurt him in comparison to Brady who is lapping the field in terms of playoff accomplishments.
And I hate to keep repeating myself…
CRinCA : 1/22/2022 11:18 pm : link
If not for the Matt Dodge/Deshaun Jackson debacle back then the Packers don’t back in the playoffs and get a SB for Rogers.
Obviously they needed to score more, but the GB

I said the same thing in the game thread. He's Peyton 2.0. Comes up small in the playoffs after magnificent regular seasons.

On what planet was he outstanding? The Packers defense ran by two pick 6's on terrible throws by him. He did nothing in the game. The 49ers defense had to continue standing on its head becasue their QB isn't any good.

He lost the super bowl for them two years ago. If he has to go win a game for them now he won't do it. The only reason they got out of there with a win was because of their special teams. They could have been playing until tomorrow afternoon and Jimmy G would not have gotten them into the endzone

You make great points. There are always great excuses for Rodgers. It is a yearly event after he fails again to make enough big plays to lead his team to the promised land.

In Peyton's defense, he had to deal with the Pats, and a few times when you could still get physical with the receivers.

I think 7 of Peyton’s losses were to Brady, Ben, or Rivers. All HOF guys. Rodgers has 4 losses to whatever trash SF threw out alone.

That’s the problem with todays sports. I don’t care how many turnovers he has. He led his team to 10 points.

He was lost all night. He was fooled repeatedly. He stunk.

Not disagreeing but 2 rings is 2 rings.

And he lost games throwing 300-400 yards and multiple TDs. I mean remmeber the Baltimore game where Baltimore threw a Hail Mary from their 25 and the corner mid played the ball?

Still time for Rodgers to get his 2nd. And Peyton really wasn't good in that 2nd run, either in the regular season or the playoffs. That team carried his corpse to a super bowl.
People saying Rodgers choked are haters.
Tuckrule : 1/22/2022 11:29 pm : link
He was under duress all game. He made some plays happen his team failed him big time. Tough elements. Hits Aaron jones before half jones doesn’t get out of bounds. Burns a timeout leads to blocked field goal. Early 4th quarter tight end drops an easy open catch on 3rd down. Leads to punt. Blocked punt turns into game tying touchdown. That’s 10 point swing off of special teams!

How is that on Rodgers? Nobody besides Rodgers, Adams and jones showed up today for the packers. Missing their left tackle was big. They had no running game as well. Was a tough tough day for the packers. I don’t fault Aaron on this one.
