Deebo Samuel

armstead98 : 1/22/2022 11:22 pm
The most exciting player in league, and one of the most important.

It’s what I was hoping Saquon could be.

Hope Deebos good to go next game.
Came up lame there at the end

He was clearly the best player on the field
I really want to see

SF vs TB, Jimmy G vs Brady and Samuel could be the difference maker in that game.
He looked fine celebrating with his team postgame
MetsAreBack : 1/22/2022 11:27 pm : link
I don’t doubt he leaves it all on the field but I think he was maybe playing it up a little tonight
It looked like

He's moving normally.

He's been a joy to watch this season. He's my favorite player in the league right now.
May have been a cramp
eric2425ny : 1/22/2022 11:29 pm : link
The guy is pulling double duty as a RB and WR and it was super cold. Hell, I had a foot cramp so bad in the middle of the night last week I was hopping like Deebo across the room in pain.

He said he had it rolled up on and was scared for a minute, but then was fine. He said he is fine.
Took him in the 6th round this year

Has literally become my favorite player in the NFl.

No one called him a bust. And the year before he had 800 yards and 50 receipts as a rookie. So no, doesn't sound familiar at all.
Hes was highly rated

Your thinking of the ‘20 draft, he was ‘19.

Hollywood Brown and KNeal Harry were the only two 1st round receivers that year. Then Samuel, Metcalf, and AJ Brown were all second round picks.

Pretty crazy round 2 for receivers that year.
Great example of a team who's FO and Coaching Staff

Stats were exactly the same as Toney as well.
Takes an innovative coach to use Deebo
bradshaw44 : 1/23/2022 10:37 am : link
The right way. Shannhan recognized his abilities and put him in a position to flourish. Judge would have had him on ST.

Complete bullshit. Deebo had 800 yards and over 50 receipts as a rookie. Over 14 yards per catch.

Toney had 420 yards and 39 receipts. Less than 11 yards per catch.

But I guess you don't want facts to get in the way of your narrative, lol.

Why are Giants fans so against Toney??

He couldn't stay healthy.

For the 3 games he was healthy, he was best player on the field on both sides of the ball. That was pretty obvious.

I'm not saying Toney is Deebo, I'm just saying you can't judge a guy on one injury plagued year.

Deebo kept getting injury after injury in 2020 and his stock dropped a lot. In 2021 he stayed on the field. Period.

Yes, thats it. I remember draftniks saying deebo was the guy out of the bunch. Metcalfs abs confused everyone.
Can't speak for everybody else but I am not a fan of Toney's

because he is a ding dong.

Yeah he had a lot of injuries which happen. But he also has too many self-inflicted wounds too and that is because he is ding dong and those need to stop happening...

Right. Stats are the same when you ignore Deebo’s rookie stats. Got it.
I am shamelessly bragging here
M.S. : 1/23/2022 12:59 pm : link

and I mean SHAMELESSLY, but this is what I wrote about Deebo Samuel prior to the 2019 Draft Year.

IMO, Deebo Samuel will be the steal of this Draft...
M.S. : 4/11/2019 5:34 am : link

...regardless of where he is drafted.

Putting aside his receiving skills, Deebo is the sort of player you want to go to war with. Tough as they come and fearless. Most receivers hear footsteps when they go over the middle. This guy not at all.

He looks a little strange at the WR position because he looks like a running back. But so did Steve Smith and D.J. Moore. Deebo is like these two guys, especially Steve Smith's toughness.

Deebo is a playmaker and an instant highlight film. He catches the ball; he runs with the ball and he's a danger to score from anywhere on the field.

Personally, I don't give a shit whether or not the Giants draft a receiver this year, but I will be VERY happy if they are smart enough to call this guy's name.
That is pretty impressive M.S.

Yes...ignoring because in year 2 his stock dropped tremendously because he couldn't stay healthy...

If we based players on rookie stats then Giants still have best RB in football.
