Judge had his problems, but a 6th (?) for Crossen was a good move.
Brightwell being a solid ST contributor is also special to see from a 6th round pick. Hopefully he can get more down in tne playbook for the next regime.
I know there's an element of hindsight involved...
...but has there ever been a more obvious pick than Trey Smith to the Giants with one of their two sixth-round picks? It's not as though the rest of the League was rushing to the podium for Gary Brightwell or Greedy Williams's older brother.
Smith's health issues are so severe that he has taken every single offensive snap for KC this year. He's the only Chief on either side of the ball to miss zero snaps. We get to watch him again this evening.
Of course, if the Giants had drafted Trey Smith, a blood clot would have ended his career in July.

total agreement. the only other picks that come to mind are la'el collins (which was somewhat understandable given the gravity of the charges) and laremy tunsil (which was just a typical giants mistake).
FWIW, when the Bears hosted th 49ers on Halloween...
Elijah Mitchell and Khalil Herbert combined for 209 yards on 41 carries. (And yes, I know - Mitchell was off the board by the Giants' pick, he's had a bunch of minor injuries, and the Shanahans make ordinary RBs look special.)
I hope all the "complementary football" enthusiasts enjoyed each of Gary Brightwell's eight special teams tackles, and all four of his rushing yards. He also has lovely, lustrous hair, almost Polamalu-level. He was, however, a bizarre draft pick.
Clearly, a lot of draft picks are risk/benefit analysis
But by the 6th round, c’mon, take a shot.
It seems to me that a lot of picks have been “safe” cya picks.
Hopefully the new staff will make picks without thinking of the PR ramifications.

You’re being kind to them. Could have had Trey Smith with one of the 6th round picks and solidified one of the guard positions.

Or he would have retired in training camp.
I don't think Brightwell, whom the Giants took a few picks later, was on anyone's radar at that stage.
