If he became the head coach, would you want him to be the OC? Feel like head coaches that also coordinate one side of the ball never works out. Too much on their plate.
And that is the reason why I am apprehensive about hiring Daboll. You don’t know what you’re going to get. The situation is a new first time GM and new first time head coach. Maybe it will work out, but I’m not freaking going to be acting like some of these posters who think it should be Daboll or bust. This is the exact reason why you do a deep dive into the head coaching search.
I'd really be interested in seeing Jones run that Bills offense. They rely heavily on designed QB runs which Jones does well and Garrett refused to commit to.
I think you get Daboll in here and roll with Jones next year and see how it goes. If you need to move on from DJ then find a QB that fits what Dabolls offense needs. I think today proved his system works in today's NFL.

Jones wouldn’t last 3 games running like that. He’s hurt all the time as is.
Sees the field, looks off receivers, never loses his command, toughness, accuracy off the chart - Peyton Manning with speed. On the other hand some of the playcalling for the Bills tonight was a little strange I thought, but Allen was so good it really didn’t matter - he took countless broken plays and threw strikes under pressure. How much of tonight’s Bills offense was directly attributable to Daboll’s gameplan? How much to Allens unique talent? Before tonight I thought Daboll was a QB whisperer. Now I’m not so sure. What is he supposed to do with Jones? Turn him into another version of Allen? A plain white dress looks a lot better with Audrey Hepburn is in it
it worked. Problem is you cant have Jones do that with his neck issue
I don't think you run any QB like that other than Allen to be honest lol
Cam Newton could. And it shortened his career. Daniel Jones can't make it through a season. I'd guess that Daboll would have those plays and save them for when they were needed, rather than rely on them as they can and do for Allen, who is a physical beast.
We all know that would not have happened if Daniel Jones was his qb….so again I ask, does Daboll make Allen look good or does Allen make Daboll so good? I think the latter….which is why I’m hesitant to endorse Daboll. He’s not proven he can be both a HC and a OC. This concerns me a great deal.

Allen improved every year under his, and Ken Dorsey's, coaching.
They've provided some protection and talent around him, but I don't see an amazing "scheme" there. Also, I hate Planned Contact for QB's....Allen is taking entirely too much contact (ditto Joe Burrow, who lowered the boom for an extra 2 yards on early downs). I'm ok with situational contact, but I want my QB to evade and Get down. On QB runs, take what's given and get down. On 3rd down and 4th down "must haves", we can all live with contact. On early downs, throw the ball to the ground and tale the next snap.
I don't believe Zac Taylor calls plays, but yeah, 3 out of the 4 HC's in the CG's call their own plays, but no HC can be successful doing it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Daboll/Allen. If that is the hesitation couldn't the same be said about any coach/OC on a team with a great QB? Would you hesitate to hire Zac Taylor because of Burrows or Arians because of Brady/I would hope just because of Allen that would hold the Giants back from hiring Daboll.

He would if they stop doing squats. Haven't you heard?
Doesn’t he like to be up in the booth when he’s calling plays? If he prefers that then it’ll be really hard for him to call the offense from the field while taking care of HC duties. He can just get someone he trusts to put in his system.
And Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan and Zac Taylor.
Gabriel Davis juking a guy so bad he falls down and he's wide open
Or tyreek hill catching a crossing route and running by everyone
Makes offenses look good

Even if he doesn’t call plays, he’s not gonna hire a conservative OC. He’s gonna hire someone who he believes relates to his philosophy

Sometimes good players are good players because they're well coached.
That pendulum swings both ways.

Yeah, definitely. I would settle for the giants to be watchable again next year, whatever it takes
DJones cannot take those hits.
What was with all the QB runs? I know it's Josh Allen but I thought I was watching a HS game for much of the game.

Why question what works?
Matt - I hear ya I just thought there was really weird sequence of calls up to the point where the Bills had taken their first lead.
I've seen them play all year.
Maybe not close enough but it seemed he ran the ball like 20x tonight. It was only 11 after a check.
I thought having Allen throw it in certain instances would have been a better option.

Jackson on the Ravens is thick? In what world?

QB runs work great until you get your QB injured
