he'll be spending a lot of time preparing how to answer questions about whether he'll keep Jones, and whether he'll keep Barkley.
Well I'd suggest the obvious answer would be to say that we'll be going through a process for evluating things from top to bottom, including players under contract, and those decisions will come at the conclusion of those evaluations.

Yes, but do you think Daniel Jones is the long term answer at QB???!!!!
but I'll be very relieved if he comes off as less arrogant than Gettleman.
I don't think you have to worry about that. If you've watched some of his interviews he's seems well spoken and measured and pretty straight forward. Dare I say: Normal. I'm excited for the healing to begin.

Joe Schoen thanks you for your superior speech writing.
Obviously there will be few specifics and nothing direct about any single player.
don't come in preaching "smashmouth, old school football". A problem with Getty was not only did he live in 1985, but he believed he was smarter than you and it was a "ah you kids don't have a clue" situation. I wish Schoen would say he will be living in the 21st century but also coming off as humble.
First time in awhile I won't cringe during one of our GM pressers. I have no clue if Schoen is the answer-I pray he is-but from all accounts, he's a professional & not a jackass/wanna be stand up comedian like Gettleman.

Reese was pretty bad too, especially towards the end. He was so arrogant and would get annoyed with just about any questions that were critical of his decisions.
So let's try to imagine the press conference after Schoen relieves CM of his Player Personnel role.
Reporter: Why did you let CM go from his player personnel position?
JS: Because he's been consistently wrong in his player personnel decisions as evidenced by our lousy roster and cap situation.
Reporter: But JM said CM didn't make any of the decisions, but just provided analyses and opinions. Was JM lying?
JS: No, I accept that, but CM's analyses and opinions were off base.
Reporter: For example?
JS: I don't know exactly but there is a website where you can find all of his mistakes. Anyway, look, I will level with you. For all I know he is as good at his job as JM says he is. But CM's last name is Mara and I am afraid that I will give his views undue weight because of that.
Reporter: Really? I think JM and Steve Tisch thought they were getting a strong leader. Are they?

I don't remember much of anything he said, but 'unprofessional' is not something generally associated with any of his time here. Is there a time that he said something especially arrogant? The most interesting/noteworthy thing he ever said in public was saying Eli might be skittish.
I don't really care what he says during the press conference
"Mr. Mara and Mr. Tisch, can you please breakdown the ownership structure? How many people own a piece of this team and who has final say on football operations?"
"Also, you said in your last press conference that Chris doesn't have much influence in football operations. If that is true, why is he the only other Mara and there is no other Tisch involved in the interview process?"
"This will be a comprehensive search for our next general manager," said John Mara. "We are looking for a person who demonstrates exceptional leadership and communication abilities, somebody who will oversee all aspects of our football operations, including player personnel, college scouting and coaching."

Peppers is one of the more plugged in posters on this site.
“The roster stinks and the cap situation is worse. We’re going to have to cut or trade some of our better players (on an already awful team) just to be able to sign our draft picks. We’re going to have to swallow some tough medicine in 2022 just to even begin to turn this mess around.”
RE: RE: Mara already said it...the GM runs the show

Instead, a live video of a medium diet Pepsi being filled will be shown.

Simple answer: I have to look at the tape before I make any comment on player performance. Next question
It would be hard not to. He'd have to have the Gase crazy eyes.

2. don't come out guns blazing and don't use snappy sayings.
Just tell us in plain words your plan what you're going to do.

You might want to add...
3. No pantomimes demonstrating your computer skills.
4. Steer clear of phrases like "hand of God", "gold jacket" and "full-bloom love".
(I felt that way after every game last year) !
The price to watch will be a Medium Pepsi

Pat Hanlon: This press conference is over.

Yes, I read his plug...

Now that would be interesting..
