I think this (or a similar line of thinking) is becoming a school of thought "The league is now slanted towards offense so it is better to hire a head coach with a background on offense."
Do you agree with this? Why or why not?
I was resistant or indifferent to this line of thinking at first, but I find myself agreeing with this sentiment more and more. Especially, watching the games this weekend turn into offensive fireworks in the fourth quarter. I wonder if the days of a dominant defense and a mediocre offense are a relic of the past.
If you hire an offensive minded coach he can have the OC implement and run a scheme largely of his design that does not need to be changed every few years if successful.

This 100% is the reason I want an offensive minded HC.

The opposite could be true as well.
That said if the league is going to slant everything in favor of offense then you have to either have a top offensive guy or if it’s a defensive guy he better have a stud OC. I don’t like it but it is what they have turned the league in to.

it's this ^^^ has zero to do with the rules or how they are slanted
