I know the board is pretty split on Odell and his tenure on the Giants.
Personally I (like many of you) was really disappointed by a lot of his antics, in particular him calling out teammates (Eli) and the organization in public.
With that being said, I'm glad to see someone with his talent bounce back and be a part of an exciting offense.
Curious to see where BBI stands - are you actively rooting/hoping for him to get a ring? Are you hoping the Rams lose? Or not really interested in his success one way or another...
It will happen, just not sure when.
It will happen, just not sure when.
so just to clarify are you hoping for him to do something bonehead, or are you just expecting it will happen
Our franchise has been turmoil for 5-10 years. Don't blame him for wanting a new job
Just the thought of him lifting a Lombardi makes me ill.
Don't care one way or the other about OBJ.
It's too bad things went poorly here with OBJ, but at this point it's ancient history as far as I'm concerned. I like watching good players make plays (unless it's against NYG), and if he's finally found the right spot for himself, good for him.
Would, love love love to have him back at the end of his career....
Anyone who trashed the organization and acts like he did isn’t a Giant. Whether he was right or wrong.
Would I otherwise - no idea. Probably wouldn't care TBH.
dude is a douche.
1. Bengals
2. Rams
3. Chiefs
4. 49ers
Big gap between 2 and 3, though. I still like Odell. I'd be happy for him.
It's really a shame that he'll never get back to what he was physically, but I'd like to see him do well.

Both.
I like being right lol
Yes to Stafford.
He was the best WR the Giants had (by far) in the last 10 years.
Cleveland does suck and any sane human being shouldn't (and rightfully so) want to be near that loser city.
Odell Beckham's Rough Day in Green Bay - ( New Window )
And how much did his 1,367 yards and 10 TDs help in getting them into the playoffs in the first place? Go watch the Ravens game from that year, see what ya think.
If they get to the Super Bowl and it's against the Chiefs, I'll root for him then too.
Not against Burrow though.
The last time the Giants were entertaining was when Odell was healthy. He was a treat to watch.
The last 5 years have been the most boring football you will ever see. Football is supposed to be entertaining. You can still be entertaining even if you're losing. But the Giants were a total snooze fest win lose or draw.
Just give me a watchable product. That's all I ask for next year. They can be 4-13 and still be a watchable product. Baby steps.
He was definitely a diva over here. I didn’t like how much he wanted to be “famous” instead of “legendary”. But it seems like he has realized that now. I never thought of him as a genuinely bad person like some other great diva WRs, just a little mentally unstable and ego-feeding hungry. He was a diva, but is easily the best WR the Giants have had in a long time.
I find it so funny that people forgive Plax and think he was some kind of consistently beastly force for this team. Plax was Inconsistent af. He cost Eli more INTs than Shockey did. That Champ Bailey INT on Plax was one of the most pathetic plays I’ve ever seen. We all killed Plax but he beasted Al Harris, there’s more to it than just that.
Odell is BY FAR the best WR in recent memory. His YAC speed was second to none. Catching a slant and taking it the entire way, it was nuts. He was easily the 3rd best WR in his prime to Julio/AB. But he also had an argument as better than them because he played for our shitty offense instead of those strong offenses.
Bottomline, yes I think Odell could’ve been way better than what he ended up if he had his focus right. But I remain incredibly impressed at what he was, and him being a bit of a bitch doesn’t stop me from rooting for a more mature version of himself to succeed.
Still have my blue Odell jersey for his eventual return...

Yup, I've seen every game he played for the Giants, no need to go back and re watch it. I recognize his talent, I also remember the contract he signed, and all the bs that came after it. He didn't want to be here for whatever reason, and I don't root for him now, but please by all means, enjoy your football Sunday however you wish.
+1 And I hope he does his dog urinating bit in the end zone, and then replay nullifies the touchdown.
As others have said, FUCK HIM.
He got what he wanted, he always wanted to go to the Rams. Maybe he gets a super bowl ring. In the long run though, I’m not so sure how that type of behavior is going to work out for him.

The guy our great GM got to replace him almost immediately got suspended for four games for PEDs. My favorite Giant, LT, did as worse. Name something that Odell did that hurt the team half as much as that. But we all hate Odell.
Odell criticized Eli. Was Eli playing well? Is he above criticism?
In the end, the shitty previous regime traded him, then didn't really say why. Because it made no sense after signing him to that massive contract. And the fans were left with a much more shitty team to watch.
Odell criticized Eli. Was Eli playing well? Is he above criticism?
Here is my problem with odell criticizing any player and the organization....
Odell was an awesome player when healthy. There is no denying that. And yes he shit the bed in the playoff game, even that doesnt bother me.
But players criticizing other players is fucking shitty. Did Eli EVER throw a player under the bus? Look at Mahomes last year, he stood up and blamed himself for the SB. Thats what leaders do. When Strahan called out the offense - that was lame on his part.
Odell, while being great, ddint have clout to criticize anyone. Even if Eli was in decline, are we gonna are gue that Eli didnt make him a better player? Whether it was reading the defense or route running? I bet during meetings and 1-1s - Eli told OBJ more shit than we could even imagine.
But the thing with OBJ is simple - when things dont go his way - he makes it about himself. The interview with Lil Wayne, the GQ interview where he wanted to retire. Come on man. And then his "dad" posting on IG to get him out of cleveland....
He is happy because he is on a Superteam and winning. He's not a leader, he is a follower.
I still think the Miami boat thing was vastly overblown, but there is no doubt that he flamed out in the playoff game in GB. Water under the bridge at this point. I wish him luck this weekend, and hope he's playing at home in LA in 3 weeks.
I'm this also
Fuck OBJ.
