Appreciate the insight here. Sounds like you got a good inside source (s). Since you do, what does your FO contact think of Schoen and Daboll? Does he believe schoen will bring other FO people to NYG?
My friend is in the front office in Buffalo and said he has talked to Schoen about possibly joining in a higher level role here.
Bills could definitely block Dorsey if he's under contract
The "promotion" angle of letting someone go is not required. It is generally good business to let folks leave for a promotion.
But the main reason I don't see Dorsey here is that why would you come here to be OC, when you can be Josh Allen's OC?
I think many people don't take into consideration that most of these coaches want to prove they are the reason things are working on a team. Best way to make a name for yourself is to take the worst offense in the league and make it the best one over a couple of years.
Are they delusional? Maybe, but that's what makes them the top of the top.
I posted that he told me Joe was on his way while Peters was interviewing. He works in Buffalo’s front office.
I can easily believe that Schoen wants Daboll and Daboll wants Dorsey.
I have a harder time believing that Buffalo will let Dorsey leave. They don't have to, he's still under contract, and as everyone says, they seem to want him as Daboll's replacement.
Legitimate question, is Dorsey under contract? Most assistants go year-to-year, the exceptions usually being the coordinators. I would think it odd that a QB coach would be given a multi-year contract, but it's certainly possible.
Not to mention, being in Dorsey's shoes, Buffalo with Allen is a much more enticing offer than NYG with ???
Makes no sense.
Maybe he likes working for Daboll and doesn't like working for McDermott.

One thing about Dorsey, this may not make sense but no way to go with ALlen but down. Giants is all upside.

Don't the Bills have the right veto a Dorsey hire by the Giants since it's not for HC?
Coaching blocks got changed in March of 2020. Teams can no longer block assistants getting coordinator interview requests SI - ( New Window )
I need to commit this to memory. Still scarred by Vikings blocking Stefanski coming here.
